Your opportunity
We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in one of the specified locations.
At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career, your partners, and the clients we serve. As the Director, Retail Digital Analytics, you’ll lead a team of analytics professionals that serves as a trusted analytics partner to leaders across Investor Services, Client Service & Support, and Retail Experience — illuminating how clients engage with Schwab across our digital channels, including schwab.com and the mobile app.
This is a people-leadership role at the intersection of business strategy, digital data, and insights generation. You’ll set the vision for digital analytics across Retail, translate complex questions about client behavior and digital experience into actionable insights, and develop a team that helps drive growth, improve the client experience, and enable confident, data-driven decisions.
You’ll lead within Schwab’s federated data and analytics operating model, in which analytics teams are embedded directly into the Retail business to increase proximity to business partners and elevate impact, while adhering to the consistency, governance, and risk standards expected of enterprise data practices. You’ll join a collaborative, inclusive environment where we succeed together as One Schwab, are guided by integrity and service, and are supported to own your tomorrow through meaningful work and continued skill development.
In this role you’ll:
- Set the strategic vision for digital analytics across Retail, ensuring that analytics work directly supports business priorities and elevates the quality of decision-making.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a highly engaged team of analytics professionals — shaping roles, fostering data fluency as the team matures, and growing analytical talent, including shepherding the team through advanced AI adoption and upskilling.
- Serve as a senior analytics advisor to Retail Digital business partners, building strong relationships and driving analytics solutions with an understanding of business priorities.
- Illuminate the digital client experience by leveraging data captured across engagement channels and journeys to understand how clients interact with Schwab’s digital footprint.
- Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements, define success metrics, and scope analytical solutions, balancing business impact, feasibility, and delivery timelines.
- Define consistent metrics, KPIs, and measurement frameworks, including calculation methods and reporting standards, to track program health, adoption, outcomes, and business impact.
- Oversee the design and delivery of business intelligence dashboards and reporting using modern BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to deliver recurring insights.
- Oversee A/B testing of digital experiences, partnering with product and business teams to measure results and translate findings into executive-ready recommendations.
- Lead in-depth (“deep dive”) analyses of structured and unstructured data to identify key themes, trends, and anomalies that inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Guide the development of SQL-based data queries and data sets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with enterprise data standards.
- Collaborate with data engineering, governance, and analytics peers to deliver scalable, well-governed solutions that integrate across teams and systems.
- Identify instrumentation, taxonomy, identity, and data-quality gaps that affect measurement, partnering with Schwab Data and technology teams to prioritize data ecosystem improvements.
- Incorporate AI and automation to elevate team efficiency and effectiveness, streamlining recurring workflows and strengthening speed, scale, and quality of insights.
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience across analytics, insights, business strategy, data governance, or related disciplines, with demonstrated success delivering data and analytics solutions.

- Proven ability to partner effectively with senior business leaders and cross-organizational partners, influencing across functions, teams, and levels.

- Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation concepts, with the ability to interpret test results and translate them into decisions.
- Ability to define KPIs and measurement frameworks and measure business results, including incremental impact and lift.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain sophisticated messages and trade-offs, tailor communications to specific audiences, and present effectively to executive audiences.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to generate insights through both quantitative and qualitative analysis, matching analytic techniques to business problems.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with digital analytics and digital client experience, including familiarity with web/clickstream and digital engagement platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics / Adobe Experience Platform, Google Analytics).

Which companies sponsor visas for analytics engineers in Texas?
Major Texas-based employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for analytics engineer and related data roles include Dell Technologies, AT&T, American Airlines, ExxonMobil, and Charles Schwab. Austin's tech sector adds companies like Oracle, Apple, and Tesla, which have large Texas operations. Consulting firms such as Accenture and Deloitte also file H-1B petitions for analytics engineers across Texas offices.
Which visa types are most common for analytics engineer roles in Texas?
The H-1B is by far the most common visa for analytics engineers in Texas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Some candidates enter on OPT or STEM OPT before transitioning to H-1B. Intracompany transfers via the L-1B are also used by multinational employers with Texas offices.
Which cities in Texas have the most analytics engineer sponsorship jobs?
Austin leads for analytics engineer sponsorship activity, driven by a dense concentration of technology companies that have relocated or expanded there. Dallas-Fort Worth follows closely, with strong demand from financial services, telecommunications, and consulting employers. Houston adds opportunities in energy, healthcare data, and logistics analytics. San Antonio has a smaller but growing base, particularly in cybersecurity and defense-adjacent data roles.
How to find analytics engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter analytics engineer roles by Texas location, visa type, and employer sponsorship history. Unlike general job boards, every listing on Migrate Mate is screened for sponsorship intent. Searching there saves significant time compared to manually checking employer career pages and cross-referencing DOL H-1B disclosure data to verify sponsorship willingness.
Are there state-specific factors analytics engineers should know about when job searching in Texas?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons with California or New York roles. The University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M, and UT Dallas produce large analytics and data engineering talent pipelines, meaning employers are accustomed to hiring international graduates and navigating OPT-to-H-1B transitions. Austin's rapid tech growth has also increased prevailing wage levels, which employers must meet when filing H-1B Labor Condition Applications.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored analytics engineer jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
