Which companies sponsor visas for business managers in Texas?
Several large Texas-headquartered employers have consistent histories of sponsoring business managers through H-1B visa and other work visas. These include ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, AT&T, Dell Technologies, Texas Instruments, and JPMorgan Chase's Houston and Dallas operations. Consulting firms like Deloitte and Accenture, which maintain large Texas offices, also sponsor business management professionals regularly.
Which visa types are most common for business manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most commonly used visa for business managers in Texas, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Multinational managers transferring within a company may qualify for the L-1A visa instead. Canadians and Mexicans may be eligible for the TN visa under the USMCA, which lists management consultants as a qualifying category.
Which cities in Texas have the most business manager sponsorship jobs?
Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Austin account for the largest share of business manager sponsorship activity in Texas. Houston's energy sector generates significant demand for operations and project managers. Dallas-Fort Worth is home to numerous Fortune 500 headquarters spanning telecom, finance, and retail. Austin's technology growth has added meaningful volume, particularly for product and program management roles.
How to find business manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to roles where employers have a documented history of visa sponsorship, saving you from applying to positions that won't support international candidates. For business manager roles in Texas, you can filter by state and job function to surface relevant openings across industries including energy, technology, and financial services concentrated in Houston, Dallas, and Austin.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for business manager visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons but does not change federal H-1B wage requirements. Employers must still meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the specific location of employment, whether that is Houston, Dallas, or Austin, as each metropolitan area has its own wage determinations. Texas's concentration of energy and technology industries also means many sponsoring employers are large, experienced petitioners with established immigration processes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
