Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for business managers?
Eli Lilly, Salesforce's Indianapolis operations, Cummins, and Subaru of Indiana Automotive are among Indiana employers with documented histories of sponsoring skilled professionals. Large healthcare systems like Indiana University Health and manufacturers with global supply chains also file sponsorship petitions for business manager roles that require specialized operational or international business expertise.
Which visa types are most common for business manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B visa is the most frequently used visa for business managers in Indiana, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration or management. Multinational companies like Cummins or Eli Lilly may also use the L-1A intracompany transferee visa for managers moving from a foreign affiliate into an Indiana-based position.
How to find business manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Indiana employers actively hiring business managers who need sponsorship. You can browse roles by location and job function rather than manually screening hundreds of postings. Migrate Mate also surfaces employers with prior sponsorship histories, which is particularly useful for targeting companies in Indiana's manufacturing, life sciences, and logistics sectors.
Which cities in Indiana have the most business manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis concentrates the majority of sponsorship activity for business managers in Indiana, driven by its corporate headquarters, healthcare systems, and tech sector. Fort Wayne supports management roles in manufacturing and distribution. Bloomington sees some activity tied to Indiana University's research and administrative functions, while Columbus hosts Cummins' global headquarters, making it a specific pocket of international hiring for operations and business management roles.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for business manager visa sponsorship?
Indiana's sponsorship activity for business managers is closely tied to its manufacturing and life sciences industries, so roles with direct operational or supply chain responsibility tend to attract more employer interest in sponsorship. The H-1B specialty occupation standard requires that the position genuinely demands a relevant degree, so business manager roles with clearly defined analytical or domain-specific requirements are better positioned than generalist management titles when employers file petitions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
