This position plays a critical role in the bank’s transition from a transaction-focused model to a deposit gathering and small business growth model, acting as the primary point of contact for larger small business clients and a consultative resource for branch teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Build, expand, and retain a portfolio of larger small business relationships through proactive outreach, local market presence, and consultative selling.
- Deliver tailored solutions across deposits, lending, treasury management, and fee-based services.
- Act as a trusted advisor to help clients identify growth opportunities and manage risk.
- Partner with Relationship Bankers and branch teams to support small business customer conversations, referrals, and client transitions where relationship complexity or opportunity size warrants direct involvement.
- Provide guidance on needs-based discovery, financial analysis, and product positioning for small business clients.
- Serve as the escalation and expertise point for complex or larger small business opportunities within retail, including opportunities identified by local Financial Center Managers.
- Reinforce consistent execution of small business playbooks across the branch network.
- Use available capacity to support local Financial Center Managers with business development activities, client preparation, joint calls, and follow-up on high-potential small business opportunities.
- Manage inbound referrals from retail and generate outbound opportunities by prospecting for new larger small business clients within the local MSA.
- Drive deposit growth, small business lending volume, and fee income across assigned $1 million-plus relationships and targeted local prospects.
- Analyze business financials to assess creditworthiness and recommend appropriate lending structures.
- Collaborate with underwriting partners (e.g., Business Loan Center or BLC) to structure and execute solutions.

Which companies in Arkansas sponsor visas for business managers?
Walmart is the most prominent Arkansas-based sponsor for business manager roles, given its global operations and large international workforce in Bentonville. Its supplier ecosystem, including numerous retail and logistics firms clustered in Northwest Arkansas, also sponsors managers regularly. In central Arkansas, healthcare organizations such as Baptist Health, Mercy Health, and Arkansas Children's Hospital have sponsored business management positions, particularly in operations and administrative management functions.
Which visa types are most common for business manager roles in Arkansas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for business manager roles in Arkansas, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific business-related field. L-1A visas apply to managers transferring within multinational companies, which is relevant given Walmart's global footprint. Candidates from Australia, Canada, or Mexico may also qualify for E-3 visa or TN visas, depending on nationality and role specifics.
Which cities in Arkansas have the most business manager visa sponsorship jobs?
Bentonville and the broader Northwest Arkansas corridor generate the highest volume of business manager sponsorship activity, driven by Walmart headquarters and its concentrated supplier base. Little Rock, as the state capital and home to major healthcare networks and financial institutions, is the second most active market. Fayetteville also sees demand, largely connected to the University of Arkansas research community and regional corporate offices.
How to find business manager visa sponsorship jobs in Arkansas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and filters business manager roles in Arkansas by sponsorship history. Rather than sorting through general job postings, Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have previously sponsored work visas, which saves significant time when targeting Arkansas markets like Bentonville's retail corridor or Little Rock's healthcare and financial sectors. It is a practical starting point for candidates on H-1B, L-1 visa, or other work visa categories.
Are there any state-specific considerations for business managers seeking sponsorship in Arkansas?
Arkansas business manager roles subject to H-1B sponsorship must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the specific metropolitan area, and wages differ between Northwest Arkansas and Little Rock metro classifications. The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville produces a pipeline of international MBA graduates who pursue sponsorship locally. Northwest Arkansas has also seen growing investment in international talent attraction, partly through regional economic development initiatives tied to Walmart's global supplier relationships.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business manager jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
