Which companies sponsor visas for business managers in Ohio?
Several large Ohio-based employers have established track records of sponsoring business managers for H-1B visa and other work visas. These include Nationwide Insurance, Huntington Bancshares, and Fifth Third Bank in financial services, as well as Cardinal Health, Procter and Gamble, and Kroger in healthcare and consumer goods. Ohio's large hospital systems, including Cleveland Clinic and OhioHealth, also sponsor business management roles tied to healthcare operations.
Which visa types are most common for business manager roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for business managers in Ohio, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, finance, or management. L-1A visas are also used when a candidate is transferring from a foreign affiliate of an Ohio employer. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management analyst roles.
Which cities in Ohio have the most business manager sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is Ohio's leading city for business manager sponsorship jobs, driven by its concentration of insurance, financial services, and technology companies. Cleveland follows closely, with strong demand from healthcare systems, manufacturing firms, and professional services. Cincinnati sees consistent sponsorship activity from consumer goods and logistics employers. Dayton and Akron have smaller but active markets tied to aerospace and polymer manufacturing respectively.
How to find business manager visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the United States. You can filter directly for business manager roles in Ohio to see employers actively hiring sponsored candidates. Because Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on sponsorship-eligible positions, it removes the guesswork of identifying which Ohio employers are open to international hires in management roles.
Are there state-specific considerations for business managers seeking visa sponsorship in Ohio?
Ohio's prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules are determined by the Department of Labor using metropolitan area data for Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and other metros separately. Business managers in Ohio's healthcare and financial services sectors often need demonstrated expertise in regulated industries, which can strengthen a specialty occupation determination. Ohio universities, including Ohio State and Case Western Reserve, also produce graduates who sometimes transition to sponsored management roles with local employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business manager jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
