Which companies sponsor visas for data architects in Texas?
Several large Texas-based employers have consistent H-1B sponsorship histories for data architect roles. Dell Technologies in Round Rock, AT&T in Dallas, Amazon Web Services in Austin, and ExxonMobil in Houston have all appeared in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for data architecture positions. Large consulting firms with Texas offices, including Deloitte and Accenture, also sponsor data architects regularly.
Which visa types are most common for data architect roles in Texas?
The H-1B is by far the most common visa category for data architects in Texas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT extension often transition to H-1B through employer sponsorship. The L-1B is another pathway for multinational employees transferring specialized knowledge.
Which cities in Texas have the most data architect sponsorship jobs?
Austin leads in tech-sector data architect hiring, supported by a growing cluster of cloud and software companies. Dallas and its suburbs, including Plano and Irving, concentrate financial services and telecom employers that hire data architects at scale. Houston offers opportunities in energy, healthcare IT, and logistics. San Antonio has a smaller but emerging cybersecurity and government contracting sector with some sponsorship activity.
How to find data architect visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters data architect roles in Texas by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you're not sorting through listings that won't work for your situation. Search by city or employer type to narrow down openings in Austin's tech sector, Dallas's finance corridor, or Houston's energy industry. Filtering by sponsorship type helps you identify H-1B or OPT-friendly roles directly.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for data architect sponsorship candidates?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects take-home pay calculations when evaluating offers. The Department of Labor sets prevailing wage levels for data architect roles by metropolitan area, so the required minimum wage in Austin's tech corridor differs from smaller Texas markets. Texas A&M and UT Austin both produce significant numbers of computer science and data engineering graduates, creating a competitive local talent pool that shapes how employers approach international hiring.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data architect jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
