We're building tools that empower teams to automate the manual, uncover insights, and scale smarter. But more than that, we're creating space– space to think big, take action, and unlock the kind of work that truly matters. Because when challenge meets purpose, and passion turns into progress, that's magic at work, and it's what we show up for every day.
Smartsheet is seeking a forward-thinking Consulting Manager to lead a regional delivery team through a fundamental shift from traditional, effort-based implementation to a modern, value-driven advisory model centered around AI. In this role, you will lead the AI transformation, bridging the gap between technical execution and executive-level business consulting to ensure our customers achieve measurable and fast business value.
Operational management and active business development are the foundations of this role. This leader will institutionalize scalable, repeatable delivery processes to drive operational excellence and consistent customer outcomes, while serving as a critical strategic partner to account teams, fueling expansion. Layered on top is the leadership of a team of strategic advisors who are redefining their value as AI reshapes the professional services delivery.
We are looking for a leader who balances a get-it-done operational mindset with a restless curiosity for what's next. You should be a high-empathy coach who thrives in a transparent, win-as-one environment, with the resilience to lead a team through rapid change while maintaining a relentless focus on our customers' success.
YOU WILL:
-
Architect the Advisory Team: Interview, hire, and develop consultants with the requisite skills for the Advisory Era—prioritizing strategic work, stakeholder alignment, AI competencies, and an adoption-focused mindset.
-
Coach for Resilience: Foster an environment of daily experimentation, encouraging your team to test AI solutions, share insights, and adapt to evolving delivery approaches while staying focused on customer value.
-
Drive Go-To-Market (GTM) Excellence: Proactively partner with Sales and other GTM leaders to drive regional services bookings, proactively training partners to sell your team's unique expertise as well as supporting strategic account expansion.
-
Voice of the Customer: Engage directly with customers to understand their evolving needs, using those insights to suggest future service offerings and train your team to deliver against them. You will also maintain a billable target for strategic project involvement and serve as the first line of defense for customer escalations.
-
Drive Operational Excellence: Assume full accountability for your team's fiscal health, ensuring the team meets or exceeds performance targets (KPIs) while maintaining consistent data accuracy in PSA tool(s) and every team member has visibility into their performance.
-
Lead Your Team Through the AI Pivot: Operationalize the transition to an AI-Native PS model, modernizing tools and methodologies to shift your team's focus toward higher-value strategic activities.
-
Strategic Prioritization & Industry Alignment: Translate company objectives and shifting industry trends into clear, actionable priorities for your team, ensuring their activities remain focused on high-impact work as we navigate ongoing changes within the business and industry at large.
-
Intentional Resource & Lifecycle Management: Partner with the Resource Management Office (RMO) to balance workloads by matching consultant skills and capacity to project opportunities.
-
Other duties as assigned.
YOU HAVE:
-
7+ years of experience in SaaS Professional Services, with a proven track record of navigating business pivots or disruptive technology shifts.
-
Ability to formulate positions on industry trends and anticipate how technology developments—specifically AI—will impact customer needs.

Search Manager - Consulting Jobs in TexasManager - Consulting Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for manager - consulting roles in Texas?
The most active sponsors for consulting manager roles in Texas include Deloitte, Accenture, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, and McKinsey, all of which maintain large offices in Dallas and Houston. Technology-focused consultancies such as Infosys Consulting and Wipro also file significant numbers of H-1B petitions for consulting managers based in Texas, particularly in the energy and financial services verticals.
Which visa types are most common for manager - consulting roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for consulting managers in Texas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at minimum a bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field. Multinationals with global offices also transfer senior consulting managers on L-1A visas. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3, and Canadian or Mexican nationals may qualify under the TN category in the management consultant classification.
Which cities in Texas have the most manager - consulting sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads Texas for consulting manager sponsorship jobs, driven by the concentration of Big Four firms, corporate headquarters, and technology consultancies in Uptown Dallas and the Plano-McKinney corridor. Houston is the second-largest market, with heavy demand from energy-sector consulting practices. Austin has grown significantly as a third hub, particularly for technology and strategy consulting roles tied to the city's expanding tech industry.
How to find manager - consulting visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S. You can filter directly for manager-consulting roles in Texas to see employers who have sponsored visas for this role type previously. Because Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on sponsorship-eligible positions, it removes the guesswork of identifying which Texas consulting employers are open to international candidates.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for consulting manager visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations under the H-1B Labor Condition Application since the Department of Labor benchmarks wages to the specific metropolitan area rather than statewide averages. Dallas, Houston, and Austin each carry distinct prevailing wage levels for consulting manager roles. Candidates should also note that major Texas universities including UT Austin and Texas A&M feed strong domestic pipelines into consulting, so competition for sponsored roles remains competitive.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored manager - consulting jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
