Which companies sponsor visas for network administrators in Texas?
AT&T, Dell Technologies, IBM, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Amazon Web Services are among the employers in Texas with documented histories of sponsoring work visas for network administrators. Large healthcare systems like HCA Healthcare and financial institutions with major Texas operations also sponsor regularly. State and federal contractors in the Dallas-Fort Worth defense sector represent another consistent source of sponsored roles.
Which visa types are most common for network administrator roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for network administrators in Texas, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field. Some employers also use the L-1B visa for intracompany transfers of specialized network professionals. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible under the TN visa category.
Which cities in Texas have the most network administrator sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads the state for network administrator sponsorship activity, anchored by major corporate headquarters, telecom infrastructure, and a dense concentration of managed service providers. Austin follows, driven by its technology sector and growing enterprise IT base. Houston is significant for energy-sector employers with large internal networks. San Antonio has a notable presence due to cybersecurity and defense-related IT operations.
How to find network administrator visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles that include visa sponsorship, so you can search network administrator positions in Texas without sorting through employers who don't sponsor. The platform is designed for international candidates, making it easier to identify which Texas employers are actively hiring for this role and open to candidates who need H-1B, TN, or other work visa support.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for network administrator sponsorship candidates?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects how prevailing wage calculations translate to take-home pay compared to states with income taxes. The state's large university system, including UT Austin, Texas A&M, and UT Dallas, produces a significant pipeline of IT graduates, meaning competition for entry-level sponsored roles can be high. Candidates with certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ tend to stand out in Texas employer hiring patterns.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored network administrator jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
