Which companies sponsor visas for sales representatives in Texas?
Several large employers in Texas have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for sales roles. Dell Technologies in Round Rock, Oracle in Austin, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Houston appear regularly in Department of Labor disclosure data for sales-related positions. Enterprise software companies and medical device firms operating across the Dallas-Fort Worth corridor also sponsor sales representatives with some regularity.
Which visa types are most common for sales representative roles in Texas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for sales representatives in Texas when the role qualifies as a specialty occupation, typically requiring a degree in a relevant field such as business, marketing, or a technical discipline tied to the product being sold. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying sales-related occupations. L-1 visa transfers are another pathway for international employees moving within a multinational company into a Texas-based sales role.
Which cities in Texas have the most sales representative sponsorship jobs?
Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Houston concentrate the majority of sponsored sales representative positions in Texas. Austin's tech sector generates strong demand for SaaS and software sales roles, while Dallas-Fort Worth hosts numerous corporate headquarters with global sales teams. Houston's energy and healthcare industries produce consistent sponsorship activity for technical and medical sales representatives. San Antonio has a smaller but growing presence in cybersecurity and defense-adjacent sales roles.
How to find sales representative visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters job listings by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search sales representative roles in Texas without sifting through positions that won't support your visa. The platform covers employers across Austin, Houston, and Dallas-Fort Worth, including enterprise tech companies and healthcare firms that actively hire international sales talent. Filtering by state and role type on Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to general job searches.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for sales representative visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations and compensation structures that employers must meet under H-1B requirements. The state's concentration of enterprise tech, energy, and healthcare sectors means many sponsored sales roles are technical in nature, and employers often require a degree closely related to the product or service being sold to satisfy specialty occupation criteria. Sales roles tied to commodity trading or insurance may face additional scrutiny during the H-1B petition review.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales representative jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
