Which companies sponsor visas for sales support specialists in Texas?
Large technology and enterprise software firms with significant Texas operations are among the most active sponsors for sales support specialist roles. Companies like Dell Technologies in Round Rock, Oracle in Austin, and SAP in various Texas offices have histories of filing H-1B visa petitions for business and sales operations positions. Energy sector employers in Houston, including major oil and gas service companies, also sponsor for client-facing support roles.
Which visa types are most common for sales support specialist roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for sales support specialists in Texas, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, marketing, or a related discipline. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible for TN visa status under the USMCA trade agreement, which can cover certain business and management analyst roles.
Which cities in Texas have the most sales support specialist sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads in volume, driven by its concentration of technology, telecommunications, and financial services employers. Austin is a strong second, particularly within software and SaaS companies that have established large commercial operations there. Houston offers opportunities concentrated in energy, logistics, and industrial distribution firms. San Antonio has a smaller but growing market, especially within defense contractors and healthcare technology companies with regional sales teams.
How to find sales support specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters for employers who have demonstrated a history of visa sponsorship. For sales support specialist roles in Texas, you can search by role and state to surface relevant openings at companies already set up to sponsor. This saves time compared to applying broadly and discovering late in the process that a company won't sponsor your visa category.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for sales support specialist visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations and total compensation benchmarks that employers reference when filing Labor Condition Applications. The state's large university system, including UT Austin, Texas A&M, and the University of Houston, produces a steady pipeline of international graduates on OPT who transition into sales support roles and later seek H-1B sponsorship. Employers in Texas are generally familiar with this pathway, particularly in tech and energy.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales support specialist jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
