ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is part of Alcon's Project Management function, a team that ensures all regular and one-off projects are planned, organized, and executed effectively to help our people and the world see brilliantly. The Sr. Principal II, Clinical Project Management, is primarily responsible for serving as a global/regional clinical expert throughout the product lifecycle, from development to post-market monitoring. You will build effective relationships across teams, implement clinical strategies, and ensure compliance with protocols.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Leading projects leveraging clinical data and developing clinical content
- Implementing and preparing the clinical development strategy as outlined by the clinical sub-teams or workstreams
- Gathering input from cross-functional teams and creating plans that help the team produce deliverables on schedule
- Planning, directing, creating, and communicating clinical study timelines
- Ensuring consistency of clinical study and processes across clinical trials
- Ensuring study is conducted within clinical trial protocols
- Monitoring progress and following up with team members and line managers when issues develop
- Overseeing and resolving operational aspects of clinical trials in conjunction with project teams and in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP), good clinical practice (GCP) and specific country regulations
- Participating in data analysis, interpretation and synthesis, instruction in order to develop Clinical study report and/or support development of scientific publications including peer reviewed manuscripts in partnership with external key opinion leaders (KOLs)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school + 15 yrs. Assoc. + 11 yrs.; M.S. + 4 yrs.; PhD + 3 yrs.)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- 7 Years of Relevant Experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ophthalmology experience (Glaucoma Preferred)
OTHER
- Travel Requirements: up to 20% International and/or Domestic
