Which companies in Texas sponsor visas for service specialists?
Technology and financial services employers are among the more active sponsors for service specialist roles in Texas. Companies including Dell Technologies, Texas Instruments, Fidelity Investments, AT&T, and various enterprise software firms based in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin metro areas have documented H-1B sponsorship histories. Large consulting and managed services firms operating in Houston also appear regularly in Department of Labor disclosure data for this role type.
Which visa types are most common for service specialist roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common employer-sponsored visa for service specialist positions in Texas, particularly where the role requires a specialized degree in a field like computer science, information systems, or business. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may explore TN status if the role aligns with an eligible occupation category. Eligibility depends on the specific job duties and degree requirements the employer establishes.
Which Texas cities have the most service specialist visa sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads in sponsorship volume for service specialist roles, driven by its concentration of technology companies, financial institutions, and corporate headquarters. Austin's growing tech sector produces consistent demand, particularly in SaaS and enterprise software. Houston sees activity in energy-adjacent services and consulting. San Antonio has a smaller but active market, with healthcare and cybersecurity firms occasionally sponsoring for this role type.
How to find service specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters service specialist jobs in Texas by visa sponsorship availability, so you're not sorting through roles that won't support your work authorization. The platform covers employers across Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, and Houston and is designed for candidates on H-1B, E-3, TN, and other work visa categories. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate gives you a targeted list without the noise of general job boards.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for service specialist visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects how prevailing wage benchmarks translate into take-home pay compared to other states, though the Department of Labor sets prevailing wages at the federal level regardless. The state's large university system, including UT Austin, Texas A&M, and UT Dallas, produces a significant pipeline of international graduates on OPT who transition into sponsored roles. Employers in Texas are generally familiar with sponsorship processes, but requirements vary by company and specific role classification.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service specialist jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
