Which companies in Texas sponsor visas for technical product managers?
Large technology and semiconductor employers lead sponsorship activity for technical product managers in Texas. Companies including Dell Technologies, NXP Semiconductors, Oracle, Texas Instruments, and Samsung Austin Semiconductor have documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for product and engineering roles. Major financial institutions headquartered in Dallas, such as AT&T and JPMorgan Chase operations, also sponsor TPM positions regularly.
Which visa types are most common for technical product manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for technical product managers in Texas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical field like computer science or engineering. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa. Those from Canada and Mexico may use the TN visa under the USMCA, provided the role aligns with an eligible TN occupation.
Which cities in Texas have the most technical product manager sponsorship jobs?
Austin generates the highest concentration of technical product manager sponsorship opportunities in Texas, driven by its established tech sector. The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex follows closely, with strong demand across enterprise software, telecommunications, and financial technology employers. Houston contributes a meaningful share of TPM roles tied to energy technology, aerospace, and healthcare IT companies expanding their digital product functions.
How to find technical product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse technical product manager roles in Texas without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. Search by role and state to surface employers actively hiring TPMs with sponsorship. Filtering by Texas also helps identify which cities and industries are most active at any given time.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for technical product managers pursuing visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations differently than high-tax states, though Department of Labor wage determinations for H-1B filings are based on the specific metropolitan area, not state tax policy. Austin and Dallas are designated H-1B-intensive metros with well-established immigration attorney networks, which means many employers in those markets already have experienced legal infrastructure for processing TPM sponsorships. University pipelines from UT Austin and Texas A&M also supply a stream of OPT candidates who transition into sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical product manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
