Which cybersecurity companies sponsor TN visas in Texas?
Texas has a concentration of cybersecurity employers with established TN sponsorship track records. Dell Technologies and NXP Semiconductors in Austin, AT&T and Raytheon in Dallas, and Booz Allen Hamilton and USAA in San Antonio are among the larger employers. Government contractors and defense firms across the state also hire regularly for cybersecurity roles under TN status.
Which cities in Texas have the most cybersecurity TN sponsorship jobs?
Austin leads for private-sector cybersecurity hiring, anchored by tech companies and a growing startup base. Dallas-Fort Worth follows closely, with financial services firms and telecom employers like AT&T generating consistent demand. San Antonio is notable for its defense and federal contractor ecosystem, including companies supporting military installations. Houston adds cybersecurity roles tied to the energy and healthcare sectors.
What types of cybersecurity roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility for cybersecurity roles generally falls under the Computer Systems Analyst category. Roles such as information security analyst, network security engineer, penetration tester, and security operations center analyst are commonly sponsored when the position requires applying specialized knowledge to computer systems. The role must align with USMCA-defined occupations, and a relevant degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is typically required.
How do I find cybersecurity TN sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by TN visa type, the cybersecurity industry, and Texas as the state to see active listings from employers open to sponsoring Canadian and Mexican nationals. This removes the guesswork of identifying which companies will actually engage with TN applicants, letting you focus your applications on roles where sponsorship is already part of the hiring consideration.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for cybersecurity TN sponsorship?
Texas has a significant defense contractor presence, particularly around San Antonio's Joint Base San Antonio and military-adjacent employers. Some cybersecurity roles at these employers require security clearances, which are available to Canadian citizens but not to Mexican nationals, affecting which positions are realistically accessible. Additionally, Texas has no state income tax, which affects overall compensation calculations for candidates evaluating offers across multiple states.
