Which hospitality companies sponsor TN visas in Texas?
Large hotel operators and management companies are the most common TN visa sponsors in Texas hospitality. Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and Omni Hotels all have significant Texas footprints and a track record of hiring Canadian and Mexican nationals through TN status. Convention center operators, luxury resort groups in the Hill Country, and major restaurant groups in Dallas and Houston also sponsor TN workers, particularly for management and specialized roles.
Which cities in Texas have the most hospitality TN sponsorship jobs?
Houston and Dallas lead in sheer volume, driven by their large convention centers, international airports, and dense hotel inventory. San Antonio is a strong market given its tourism economy anchored by the River Walk and year-round conference activity. Austin's rapid growth in hospitality infrastructure has made it an increasingly active hiring market. Smaller markets like Fort Worth and El Paso also have openings, particularly tied to convention and border-region travel demand.
What types of hospitality roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN sponsorship in hospitality is generally limited to roles that meet the specialty occupation standard under the USMCA profession list. Hotel managers, food and beverage directors, event and convention services managers, and revenue management analysts are among the roles that most commonly qualify. Front-of-house or hourly service positions typically do not qualify, as TN status requires a role with defined professional or managerial responsibilities tied to a relevant degree.
How do I find hospitality TN sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by TN visa type and the hospitality industry to see Texas-based roles posted by employers who are open to sponsoring TN workers. This saves significant time compared to reviewing general job listings where sponsorship willingness is rarely stated. Migrate Mate surfaces roles relevant to Canadian and Mexican nationals pursuing TN status in Texas hospitality markets.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for hospitality TN sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons when evaluating offers. The state's size means visa-relevant details like employer location and worksite matter. Texas employers in hospitality often hire for multiple properties across different cities, so confirm the specific worksite when evaluating a role. San Antonio and El Paso see higher proportions of Mexican TN applicants given proximity to the border, and those applicants have the option to process TN status at a land port of entry.
