Which hospitality companies sponsor TN visas in New York?
Large hotel chains with a significant New York presence are the most consistent TN sponsors in hospitality. Marriott International, Hilton Worldwide, Hyatt Hotels, IHG, and Accor all operate multiple properties in New York City and upstate markets. Independent luxury hotels and resort groups also sponsor TN visas, though their frequency varies by property. Sponsorship is most common for roles requiring a specific degree rather than general management positions.
Which cities in New York have the most hospitality TN sponsorship jobs?
New York City generates the highest volume of hospitality TN sponsorship roles by a wide margin, driven by its concentration of luxury hotels, large convention properties, and fine dining establishments in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. The Hamptons and Hudson Valley see seasonal demand, particularly in resort and food and beverage management. Albany and Buffalo have a smaller but steady market tied to business travel hotels and regional hospitality groups.
What types of hospitality roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in hospitality is limited to roles that meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning the position must normally require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. Hotel general managers, revenue managers, food and beverage directors, and event services managers with relevant degrees in hospitality management, business administration, or a related discipline are the most common qualifying roles. Front-line service and hourly positions do not qualify.
How do I find hospitality TN sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for TN visa holders and lists hospitality jobs in New York filtered by sponsorship availability, so you are not sifting through postings from employers who do not sponsor. Search for roles in hotel management, food and beverage operations, and event services within New York. Because TN sponsorship in hospitality depends heavily on role and employer, focusing your search on larger hotel groups operating in New York City increases your chances of finding qualifying openings.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for TN hospitality sponsorship?
New York's highly competitive hospitality market means employers often have access to large local candidate pools, so TN applicants benefit from highlighting specialized credentials or experience that distinguishes them. New York City also has its own local labor rules and cost-of-living context that can affect how employers structure offers. Because TN status requires a direct employer-employee relationship, roles with staffing agencies or independent contractor arrangements typically do not qualify.
