Which accounting companies sponsor TN visas in Texas?
The Big Four firms, Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG, all have significant Texas offices in Dallas, Houston, and Austin and have established TN visa sponsorship processes for accounting professionals. Regional firms such as Whitley Penn and Weaver, along with large corporations in the energy and financial services sectors, also hire TN workers in accounting roles.
Which cities in Texas have the most accounting TN sponsorship jobs?
Dallas and Houston account for the largest share of accounting TN sponsorship activity in Texas. Dallas is home to major corporate headquarters and large public accounting firms, while Houston's energy industry generates strong demand for cost accountants, financial analysts, and auditors. Austin is a growing market, particularly in tech-adjacent accounting and financial reporting roles.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship in Texas?
TN status covers accountants as a listed USMCA profession, which includes roles such as staff accountant, senior accountant, audit associate, tax accountant, and financial analyst. The position must require a baccalaureate degree in accounting or a related field. General bookkeeping or clerical finance roles that do not require a qualifying degree typically do not meet TN eligibility requirements.
How do I find accounting TN sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate lists accounting jobs in Texas where employers are open to TN visa sponsorship, letting you filter specifically by visa type and state. Because not all job postings explicitly mention TN sponsorship, using a focused platform like Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to manually screening general job listings. Targeting Big Four offices and major energy or financial services firms in Dallas and Houston tends to yield the most results.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in accounting?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects compensation structuring but does not change TN eligibility requirements. However, Texas-based employers in the energy sector often require CPA licensure or progress toward it, and some roles may involve project-based work across multiple client sites. Accounting professionals should confirm that their specific role description and degree field align with TN specialty occupation criteria before accepting an offer.
