Which food and beverage companies sponsor TN visas in Texas?
Texas is home to several large food and beverage employers with established TN visa sponsorship programs, including Sysco (headquartered in Houston), Frito-Lay (based in Plano), and Whole Foods Market (headquartered in Austin). Major food manufacturers operating facilities across the state, such as Tyson Foods and Kraft Heinz, also hire TN workers in technical and scientific roles. Sponsorship availability depends on the specific role and the employer's hiring needs at any given time.
Which cities in Texas have the most food and beverage TN sponsorship jobs?
Houston leads due to its concentration of food distribution, manufacturing, and corporate headquarters, particularly in the energy corridor and surrounding industrial zones. Dallas and its suburbs, including Plano and Irving, host corporate offices and regional operations for several national brands. Austin has a growing food tech and specialty food sector. San Antonio also sees demand from food processing and distribution employers serving the broader South Texas region.
How do I find food and beverage TN sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN visa holders and candidates, so you can filter directly by visa type, industry, and state to find food and beverage TN sponsorship jobs in Texas without sorting through listings that don't apply to you. Because TN eligibility depends on your specific occupation category, Migrate Mate's filters help you focus on roles in food science, quality assurance, and related fields where Canadian and Mexican professionals commonly qualify.
What types of food and beverage roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in food and beverage is tied to specific USMCA occupation categories. Food scientists and technologists qualify directly under the TN list. Related roles such as chemists, engineers (chemical, industrial, or agricultural), and computer systems analysts working within food and beverage operations may also qualify depending on degree requirements and job duties. General management, sales, or production floor roles without a required technical degree typically do not meet TN criteria.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for food and beverage TN sponsorship?
Texas's large agricultural and food manufacturing base means TN roles here often involve both corporate and facility-level work, which can affect how job duties are defined in the employer's support letter. Texas also shares a long border with Mexico, so Mexican nationals on TN status may find more regional employers familiar with the TN process. Regardless of location, the qualifying occupation and degree match remain the determining factors for TN eligibility.
