Search Technology Jobs in TexasTechnology TN Sponsorship Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
Which technology companies sponsor TN visas in Texas?
Texas is home to several large technology employers with established TN visa sponsorship programs, including Dell Technologies in Round Rock, Texas Instruments in Dallas, Oracle in Austin, and AT&T's technology division in Dallas. Beyond these anchor employers, Austin's startup corridor and the Dallas-Fort Worth tech corridor host hundreds of mid-size software and cloud companies that regularly hire Canadian and Mexican professionals under TN status.
Which cities in Texas have the most technology TN sponsorship jobs?
Austin concentrates the highest volume of technology TN sponsorship opportunities, driven by a dense cluster of software companies, cloud providers, and tech-focused startups. Dallas-Fort Worth follows closely, anchored by enterprise IT, fintech, and telecommunications firms. Houston adds meaningful volume in energy technology and engineering software. San Antonio has a growing cybersecurity sector tied to military and federal technology contractors.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN status covers a defined list of qualifying occupations. In technology, roles that commonly align include computer systems analyst, software engineer functioning as a systems analyst, engineer in a recognized engineering discipline, and mathematician or statistician applied to data-intensive work. The job title alone does not determine eligibility; the actual duties and the applicant's credentials must match a qualifying TN category as defined by USMCA.
How do I find technology TN sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by TN visa type, the Technology and Software industry, and Texas as the target state to see employers actively open to TN sponsorship in this market. Because TN sponsorship willingness is not always listed on general job postings, using a platform that surfaces this information directly saves significant time for Canadian and Mexican professionals targeting Texas tech roles.
Are there state-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in the Texas technology sector?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects overall compensation comparisons but has no bearing on TN visa eligibility or processing. One practical consideration for Texas tech roles is that many positions are hybrid or on-site, meaning the employer's physical Texas worksite location matters for the TN petition. If you work remotely from outside the U.S., TN status does not apply until you are physically present and working in the United States.
