Which companies sponsor visas for accounting managers in Utah?
Technology companies based in Utah's Silicon Slopes corridor, including Qualtrics, Domo, and Instructure, have sponsored accounting and finance professionals on H-1B visas. Large healthcare systems like Intermountain Health and financial services firms headquartered in Salt Lake City also appear in Department of Labor LCA filings for accounting management roles. Sponsorship availability varies by hiring cycle and employer immigration policy.
Which visa types are most common for accounting manager roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa for accounting managers in Utah, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under the TN visa category. Candidates already holding O-1 visa status based on extraordinary achievement in finance or accounting may also find Utah employers willing to support a transfer.
Which cities in Utah have the most accounting manager sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the majority of accounting manager sponsorship opportunities in Utah, given its concentration of corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and regional offices of national companies. The surrounding areas of Lehi and Provo, known collectively as Silicon Slopes, have grown significantly as technology employers in that corridor hire senior finance and accounting professionals to support scaling operations.
How to find accounting manager visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify accounting manager roles in Utah where employers are actively willing to sponsor. Because sponsorship is not always disclosed in standard job postings, using Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to reviewing unfiltered job boards. You can narrow results by state and role to focus your search on Utah accounting manager opportunities.
Are there state-specific considerations for accounting managers seeking sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's prevailing wage requirements for accounting managers are determined by the Department of Labor's wage data for the Salt Lake City and Provo metropolitan areas, which employers must meet when filing a Labor Condition Application for H-1B sponsorship. Utah's growing technology sector has increased demand for senior accounting professionals with experience in SaaS revenue recognition and equity accounting, which can strengthen a sponsorship case by demonstrating specialized expertise beyond general accounting.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored accounting manager jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
