Which companies in Utah sponsor visas for business development leads?
Companies in Utah's Silicon Slopes corridor, including Qualtrics, Domo, Pluralsight, and Adobe's Salt Lake City operations, have histories of sponsoring H-1B visas for business development roles. Larger enterprise software and SaaS firms tend to have established legal infrastructure for sponsorship, making them more approachable than early-stage startups when sponsorship is a requirement.
Which visa types are most common for business development lead roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa for business development leads in Utah, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, marketing, or a related discipline. Canadian and Mexican citizens may qualify for TN status under the USMCA treaty. Australians may qualify for the E-3 visa. Each category requires employer sponsorship and a qualifying job offer.
Which cities in Utah have the most business development lead sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and Lehi account for the majority of business development lead sponsorship activity in Utah. Lehi, at the center of the Silicon Slopes tech cluster, hosts dozens of software and SaaS companies that regularly hire for senior business development roles. Provo and Draper also have growing concentrations of tech employers that have sponsored visas for international professionals in similar positions.
How to find business development lead visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship, so you can search business development lead roles in Utah without sifting through employers who don't sponsor. The platform focuses on international candidates, which means the roles listed are from companies already open to the sponsorship process. Filtering by Utah and this role type gives you a targeted list of active opportunities in the Silicon Slopes market.
Are there any state-specific considerations for business development leads seeking sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's H-1B prevailing wage requirements are determined by the Department of Labor based on the Salt Lake City or Provo metropolitan statistical areas, depending on where the role is located. Business development lead positions must be classified as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, meaning the employer needs to demonstrate a bachelor's degree in a specific field is normally required for the role, not just preferred.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development lead jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
