Which companies in Oregon sponsor visas for business development leads?
Portland-based tech operations for Salesforce, Oracle, and Domo have a track record of H-1B visa sponsorship for business development roles. Nike and Adidas North America in Beaverton sponsor internationally for senior BD positions tied to global partnerships. Oregon's growing SaaS ecosystem, including companies in the Portland metro area, also sponsors visa holders, particularly for roles requiring specialized industry expertise.
Which visa types are most common for business development lead roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for business development leads in Oregon, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, marketing, or a related discipline. The O-1A is an option for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary achievement in their field. Candidates from Canada or Mexico may qualify for TN visa status under the USMCA if the role aligns with an eligible professional category.
Which cities in Oregon have the most business development lead sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of business development lead sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of tech firms, healthcare companies like Providence Health, and global brands. Beaverton is a secondary hub due to Nike and Adidas. Eugene and Corvallis see occasional openings tied to university-adjacent tech startups and established manufacturing companies with international business functions.
How to find business development lead visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter business development lead roles by state, including Oregon. Because sponsorship availability is not always stated in standard job postings, using a platform focused on sponsoring employers saves significant research time. Migrate Mate surfaces companies with an active H-1B filing history, making it easier to identify serious Oregon employers before applying.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for business development leads seeking visa sponsorship?
Oregon follows the federal H-1B prevailing wage framework, so employers must meet Department of Labor wage levels specific to the Portland-Hillsboro metropolitan area, which sets the benchmark for most Oregon sponsorships. Oregon's university system, particularly Oregon State University and the University of Oregon, produces graduates who enter the BD pipeline, and some employers with ties to these institutions have established sponsorship processes for international alumni already familiar with the Oregon market.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development lead jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
