Which companies sponsor visas for director of projects roles in Utah?
Utah-based tech companies in the Silicon Slopes corridor, including Adobe, Qualtrics, and Domo, have sponsored H-1B visa and other work visas for senior project leadership roles. Large construction and engineering firms with federal contracts in the state, along with healthcare systems and biotech companies in the Salt Lake City metro, also appear in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for director-level project management positions.
Which visa types are most common for director of projects roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for director of projects roles in Utah, as the position typically meets the specialty occupation standard when tied to a specific technical or business discipline requiring a bachelor's degree or higher. Candidates with multinational employer backgrounds may qualify for the L-1A intracompany transferee visa. Individuals with exceptional professional records may also explore the O-1A for extraordinary ability.
How to find director of projects visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship roles, making it straightforward to search for director of projects positions in Utah without sifting through employers who don't sponsor. You can narrow results to Utah and review which companies have active sponsorship histories. Given the concentration of tech and engineering employers in the Salt Lake City metro, the platform surfaces relevant openings from both large enterprise employers and growing mid-size firms in the region.
Which cities in Utah have the most director of projects sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the majority of director of projects sponsorship activity in Utah, with the Silicon Slopes corridor stretching south through Lehi, Draper, and Provo adding significant volume. This area hosts a dense concentration of tech, software, and fintech companies that regularly hire at the director level. Ogden sees some activity through defense and manufacturing employers, and St. George has seen growth from regional infrastructure and construction firms.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for director of projects visa sponsorship?
Utah's tight professional labor market, particularly in tech and engineering, means employers sponsoring director of projects roles must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements tied to the Salt Lake City or Provo metropolitan areas, which reflect local market conditions. Utah's concentration of federal contractors also means some director-level roles may require security clearances, which can complicate or limit sponsorship pathways for foreign nationals who haven't established eligibility.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director of projects jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
