Which companies sponsor visas for director of projects roles in New Hampshire?
Defense contractors and healthcare systems are the most active sponsors for director of projects positions in New Hampshire. BAE Systems, which operates a significant facility in Nashua, has a history of sponsoring H-1B workers in project and program management roles. Dartmouth Health, Albany International, and firms in the Manchester tech corridor also appear in federal LCA disclosure data as employers sponsoring senior project leadership positions.
Which visa types are most common for director of projects roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for director of projects roles in New Hampshire, as these positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, business, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with multinational company experience may also qualify for the L-1A intracompany transferee visa. Individuals with extraordinary project management credentials can explore the O-1A category, though that requires substantial documentation of recognition in the field.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most director of projects sponsorship jobs?
Nashua and Manchester account for the largest share of director of projects sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Nashua's concentration of defense and advanced manufacturing employers, including BAE Systems and Benchmark Electronics, drives consistent demand for project directors. Manchester supports a growing technology and healthcare services sector. Lebanon and Concord see additional hiring through Dartmouth Health affiliates and state government contractors, though volume there is lower than the southern tier.
How to find director of projects visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, and it lets you filter director of projects roles by state so you can search New Hampshire listings directly. Because sponsorship-willing employers are not always obvious from standard job postings, using a platform that surfaces sponsorship intent saves significant time. Migrate Mate aggregates roles from employers with documented H-1B filing histories, making it a practical starting point for this search.
Are there state-specific considerations for director of projects visa sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax on wages, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since your offered compensation is measured against federal DOL wage data for the Nashua or Manchester metropolitan statistical areas rather than a state-adjusted figure. The state's proximity to Boston also means some employers recruit across the region, so a New Hampshire-based director of projects role may involve cross-border project oversight. Defense-sector roles often require security clearance eligibility, which international candidates should discuss directly with prospective employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director of projects jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
