Which companies sponsor visas for executive management roles in Utah?
Utah-based technology companies are among the most active sponsors for executive management roles. Adobe's Lehi office, Qualtrics in Provo, and Domo in American Fork have all filed Labor Condition Applications for senior leadership positions. Outside tech, health systems like Intermountain Health and financial services firms headquartered in Salt Lake City also sponsor executive roles, though sponsorship decisions are made case by case.
Which visa types are most common for executive management roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa for executive management roles requiring a specialized degree, such as finance, engineering, or business strategy positions. The L-1A is frequently used for intracompany transferees moving into senior management at a U.S. office. For candidates with extraordinary achievement in their field, the O-1A is another pathway. Each category has distinct requirements around the nature of the role and employer relationship.
Which cities in Utah have the most executive management sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City holds the largest concentration of executive management sponsorship activity, anchored by corporate headquarters, financial institutions, and healthcare systems. The Silicon Slopes corridor, spanning Lehi, Provo, and American Fork, is the second major hub, driven by high-growth technology companies. Ogden has a smaller but notable presence through manufacturing and logistics firms with multi-national operations that occasionally sponsor senior leadership.
How to find executive management visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find executive management roles in Utah where employers are open to visa sponsorship. You can filter specifically by state and seniority level to surface relevant opportunities rather than sifting through positions that don't support sponsorship. Given that executive sponsorship cases are less common than mid-level roles, using a focused tool like Migrate Mate saves significant time in the search process.
Are there any Utah-specific factors that affect executive management visa sponsorship?
Utah's Silicon Slopes ecosystem has produced a high density of venture-backed technology companies, which tend to sponsor international executive talent as they scale globally. The University of Utah and Brigham Young University supply graduate talent pipelines that sometimes feed into senior roles over time. Employers in Utah must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for sponsored positions, and executive roles typically fall into the highest wage tiers, which shapes how employers structure offers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored executive management jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
