Which companies in Utah sponsor visas for project program managers?
Technology companies including Adobe, Qualtrics, and Domo have sponsored project program managers in Utah through H-1B visa and other work visa categories. Defense and aerospace contractors concentrated near Salt Lake City, including Northrop Grumman and L3Harris, also hire program managers and have established sponsorship processes. Larger employers with dedicated HR and legal teams are generally more likely to support visa sponsorship than smaller firms.
Which visa types are most common for project program manager roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project program managers in Utah, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher in business, engineering, or a related field. Candidates with multinational backgrounds may also qualify for L-1A or L-1B visas if transferring within the same company. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose qualifications meet the applicable criteria.
Which cities in Utah have the most project program manager visa sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and the broader Wasatch Front corridor, including Provo and Lehi, concentrate the majority of project program manager sponsorship opportunities in Utah. The Silicon Slopes tech hub in Lehi hosts many mid-to-large technology companies that regularly hire program managers. Ogden also has aerospace and defense employers with program management roles. Most sponsorship activity is employer-driven and tied directly to where a company's operations are headquartered.
How to find project program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters project program manager roles by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify Utah employers open to sponsoring. Because sponsorship willingness is not always stated in standard job postings, using a platform like Migrate Mate that surfaces sponsorship-confirmed listings saves significant time. Focusing your search on larger technology, defense, and healthcare employers in the Salt Lake City and Provo areas will return the most relevant results.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for project program managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Utah's H-1B prevailing wage requirements for project program managers are set by the Department of Labor based on the Salt Lake City and Provo metropolitan areas, and employers must certify they meet those wage levels before sponsoring. Utah's Silicon Slopes region has produced a strong local talent pipeline through the University of Utah and Brigham Young University, meaning sponsored candidates often compete against candidates who already have work authorization. Program managers with specialized experience in defense, healthcare IT, or enterprise software tend to stand out in this market.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project program manager jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
