Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain operations roles in Utah?
Amazon, Procter & Gamble, Walmart, and C.H. Robinson have sponsored work visas for supply chain operations professionals in Utah. Large manufacturers and distributors with operations along the Wasatch Front, including companies in the food processing and consumer goods sectors, are among the more consistent sponsors. Sponsorship activity is concentrated among employers with established HR and legal infrastructure to manage the process.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain operations roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa for supply chain operations roles in Utah, particularly for positions requiring a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations research. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization are also actively hired by Utah employers while pursuing employer-sponsored H-1B petitions.
Which cities in Utah have the most supply chain operations sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the largest share of supply chain operations sponsorship opportunities in Utah, given its concentration of corporate offices, distribution centers, and proximity to Salt Lake City International Airport. Ogden and Provo also have notable activity, driven by manufacturing, e-commerce fulfillment, and logistics operations along the I-15 corridor. West Valley City and Lehi have seen growth as employers expand their Utah footprints.
How to find supply chain operations visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is a job board specifically built for international professionals seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S. You can filter by role and state to find supply chain operations positions in Utah from employers with verified sponsorship history. This is more efficient than searching general job boards, where sponsorship willingness is rarely stated upfront and supply chain roles are mixed with unsponsored listings.
Are there state-specific considerations for supply chain operations visa sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's Department of Workforce Services tracks prevailing wage data relevant to H-1B Labor Condition Applications, and employers must certify they're meeting the prevailing wage for the specific region, such as the Salt Lake City metropolitan statistical area. Utah State University and the University of Utah both produce supply chain graduates who enter the local talent pool, meaning employers have domestic hiring options, which can affect how actively they pursue visa sponsorship for open roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain operations jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
