Which companies sponsor visas for technical project managers in Utah?
Several established tech employers in Utah have a track record of sponsoring work visas for technical project managers. Adobe's Lehi campus, Qualtrics, Domo, and health tech companies like Health Catalyst and Lucid Software are among those that have filed for H-1B sponsorship in this role category. Larger enterprise employers in the Salt Lake Valley, including financial services and cloud infrastructure firms, also appear in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for technical PM positions.
Which visa types are most common for technical project manager roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common work visa used to sponsor technical project managers in Utah. Because the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, or information systems, it generally meets the specialty occupation threshold USCIS uses to evaluate H-1B petitions. Candidates already holding L-1B or O-1 status may also transfer to Utah-based technical PM roles, depending on employer eligibility and individual circumstances.
How to find technical project manager visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is a dedicated job board that filters for U.S. visa sponsorship roles, including technical project manager positions in Utah. You can search specifically within the Utah market to surface employers actively sponsoring international candidates, rather than sifting through listings that don't address visa status. Given how concentrated Utah's tech hiring is in Salt Lake City and the Silicon Slopes area, filtering by location on Migrate Mate helps narrow results to employers in those active hiring corridors.
Which cities in Utah have the most technical project manager sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and Lehi account for the majority of technical project manager sponsorship activity in Utah. Lehi's Silicon Slopes district is home to a dense cluster of software and SaaS companies, while Salt Lake City hosts larger enterprise employers, university medical systems, and financial technology firms. Provo and Draper also contribute to the pipeline, particularly through companies with ties to Brigham Young University's computer science and engineering programs.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for technical project managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Utah's tech sector is heavily concentrated in the Silicon Slopes corridor, which means sponsoring employers tend to be high-growth SaaS and software companies rather than large legacy corporations. Technical project managers should note that Utah's Department of Labor prevailing wage determinations apply to any H-1B LCA filed in the state, and employers must attest to meeting those wage levels. Brigham Young University and the University of Utah both produce local technical talent, so international candidates benefit from positioning experience that complements rather than duplicates what employers find domestically.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical project manager jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
