This is a rare opportunity to take over an existing caseload in a hospital that provides comprehensive specialty and emergency care, including critical care, diagnostic imaging, and emergency services, all under one roof!

- Located halfway between Washington, D.C. and Richmond
- A charming historic downtown with restaurants, shops, and waterfront views
- Easy access to outdoor recreation along the Rappahannock River
- More affordable living and less congestion than major metro areas
- A true "best of both worlds" lifestyle—city access, small-town feel

You’ll be stepping into:
- An established surgery service with referral demand
- A hospital equipped to support advanced procedures and case management
- A collaborative environment with experienced ER and critical care support
What Makes This Role Stand Out
This is an opportunity to step into a ready-made service while still having the autonomy to shape and grow it in your own way.
You'll have the support of a strong hospital infrastructure, paired with the flexibility to:
- Build on an existing caseload
- Develop your clinical interests
- Influence the direction of the surgery service
And because every candidate’s priorities are different, we’re open to getting creative with the offer.
If you’re looking for a role where you can walk into immediate impact, grow a service, and enjoy a more balanced lifestyle, we’d love to talk. Send your CV to Talent Acquisition Partner Amanda Schultz (amanda.schultz@ethosvet.com) to get the conversation started!

Which animal care & pet services companies sponsor TN visas in Virginia?
Virginia's animal care sector includes large veterinary hospital groups such as BluePearl Veterinary Partners and VCA Animal Hospitals, which operate multiple locations across Northern Virginia and Richmond and have histories of sponsoring work-authorized professionals. University-affiliated veterinary programs at Virginia Tech and research institutions in the state also hire TN visa-eligible candidates. Smaller specialty clinics and animal research contractors round out the employer pool, though sponsorship practices vary by organization.
Which cities in Virginia have the most animal care & pet services TN sponsorship jobs?
Northern Virginia cities including Fairfax, Alexandria, and Arlington concentrate the highest volume of animal care TN sponsorship opportunities, driven by dense pet ownership and proximity to research institutions. Richmond supports a steady cluster of veterinary and animal science roles, particularly near Virginia Commonwealth University. The Hampton Roads area, including Virginia Beach and Norfolk, also hosts veterinary practices and animal care facilities with hiring needs for qualified professionals.
What types of animal care & pet services roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in this industry is limited to specific occupations listed under USMCA. Veterinarians with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree are clearly TN-eligible. Animal scientists with at least a bachelor's degree in animal science or a closely related field also qualify. Roles such as veterinary technicians, groomers, kennel staff, and general pet care workers do not meet TN classification criteria, as the category requires a defined professional degree for each qualifying occupation.
How do I find animal care & pet services TN sponsorship jobs in Virginia?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for TN visa sponsorship jobs in Virginia's animal care and pet services industry, surfacing employers with verified sponsorship histories rather than requiring you to screen postings manually. Because TN-eligible roles in this sector are limited to defined professional occupations such as veterinarian and animal scientist, using a targeted platform saves significant time. Migrate Mate's filters help you focus on Virginia employers actively hiring for these qualifying roles.
Are there any state-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in Virginia's animal care industry?
Virginia requires veterinarians practicing in the state to hold a Virginia Board of Veterinary Medicine license, regardless of TN visa status. Canadian and Mexican professionals should confirm their credentials are recognized or eligible for licensure before accepting a position. Virginia Tech's veterinary medicine programs and the state's active biomedical research sector create pathways for animal scientist roles. Employers near federal research facilities in Northern Virginia may also have more established processes for sponsoring TN professionals.
