ABOUT OUR AGENCY:
Our agency opened in 2014 and has grown into a team of seven who are committed to supporting one another and serving our community well. Before becoming an agent, I worked as a State Farm team member, which gave me a strong foundation and a clear vision for the kind of culture I wanted to build.
I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a business degree and am married with two young kids. Family is incredibly important to me, and that perspective shapes the way I lead and support our team.
We’re very active with Junior Achievement and believe strongly in investing in and supporting the next generation through financial education and community involvement.
We offer a $50 monthly gym membership stipend, a group life plan, PTO, a Simple IRA, health benefits, and a $500 bonus for each license earned. We believe in rewarding growth and supporting both personal and professional development.
Our culture values grit and a good attitude above all else. We’re looking for someone who is resilient, coachable, and ready to show up each day with a positive mindset. If you’re willing to work hard, grow your skills, and be part of a supportive team, this could be a great place to build your career.

Which insurance companies in Virginia sponsor TN visas?
Virginia-based carriers and regional offices with histories of sponsoring skilled foreign nationals include Markel Corporation, Genworth Financial, Anthem (now Elevance Health), GEICO, and Transamerica. Federal government contractors in Northern Virginia that manage insurance and benefits programs also hire TN-eligible professionals. Sponsorship availability varies by role, team, and hiring cycle, so direct outreach to recruiters is worth pursuing.
Which cities in Virginia have the most insurance TN sponsorship jobs?
Northern Virginia, particularly the Tysons Corner and Arlington areas, concentrates the highest number of insurance and financial services employers due to proximity to federal agencies and large corporate headquarters. Richmond is Virginia's traditional insurance hub, home to Markel, Genworth, and several regional carriers. Roanoke also has a notable presence, with specialists in commercial insurance and risk management roles available there.
What types of insurance roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in insurance generally covers roles that require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field. Actuaries, financial analysts, accountants, and computer systems analysts supporting insurance platforms are well-established qualifying categories. Underwriters and risk managers with relevant degrees in finance, mathematics, or statistics may also qualify. Roles classified as general management or sales without a specific degree requirement typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find insurance TN sponsorship jobs in Virginia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN-eligible professionals and filters job listings by visa type, state, and industry, making it straightforward to browse insurance TN sponsorship jobs in Virginia without sifting through irrelevant postings. Beyond the job board, targeting Virginia-headquartered carriers and Northern Virginia federal contractors directly, and framing your TN eligibility clearly in applications, improves response rates from employers already familiar with the process.
Are there Virginia-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in insurance?
Virginia does not impose state-level work authorization requirements beyond federal standards, so TN processing follows standard U.S. procedures. However, Northern Virginia's dense federal contracting environment means some insurance roles require security clearances, which are only available to U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents, effectively limiting TN eligibility for those specific positions. Confirming clearance requirements before applying saves time in a competitive market.
