Which insurance companies sponsor TN visas in Washington?
Washington-based insurers with a track record of hiring internationally credentialed professionals include PEMCO Mutual Insurance, Symetra Financial, Farmers New World Life Insurance, Safeco (a Liberty Mutual subsidiary headquartered in Seattle), and Zurich North America's regional offices. National carriers with significant Washington operations, such as State Farm and Allstate, also sponsor TN visa workers in qualifying specialty roles like actuarial analysis and underwriting.
Which cities in Washington have the most insurance TN sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and Bellevue account for the largest concentration of insurance TN roles in Washington, driven by headquarters and regional offices of major carriers and reinsurance firms. Spokane has a smaller but active insurance employment base, particularly for claims and underwriting positions. Tacoma and Redmond also see periodic openings, especially tied to large employers with in-house risk and financial analysis teams.
What types of insurance roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in the insurance industry generally applies to roles that meet the definition of a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Positions commonly qualifying include actuary, financial analyst, accountant, economist, and management consultant roles within insurance firms. Claims adjuster or sales agent positions that don't require a specific degree field typically do not qualify for TN classification.
How do I find insurance TN sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate is the most direct resource for this search, with job listings filtered specifically by visa type and state so you can browse insurance roles in Washington that include TN sponsorship. Unlike general job boards, Migrate Mate surfaces employers already open to sponsoring TN workers, which significantly narrows your search. Filter by the insurance industry and Washington to see current openings from carriers and specialty firms actively hiring.
Are there any Washington-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in insurance?
Washington State requires insurance professionals in licensed roles such as adjusters and agents to hold a state-issued license from the Office of the Insurance Commissioner. TN status alone does not grant a state license, so candidates pursuing licensed positions must verify they meet Washington's licensing requirements separately. For non-licensed specialty roles like actuarial or financial analysis work, no additional state-level immigration hurdles apply beyond standard TN requirements.
