Which insurance companies sponsor TN visas in Massachusetts?
Liberty Mutual, headquartered in Boston, is one of the largest TN sponsors in Massachusetts insurance. The Hanover Insurance Group (Worcester) and MassMutual (Springfield) also have established hiring pipelines for Canadian and Mexican professionals. Smaller regional carriers and national firms like Travelers and Amica Mutual maintain Massachusetts offices and have posted TN-eligible roles in actuarial, underwriting, and compliance functions.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most insurance TN sponsorship jobs?
Boston is the primary hub, home to Liberty Mutual's global headquarters and numerous brokerage and reinsurance offices in the Financial District. Springfield is significant given MassMutual's headquarters there. Worcester hosts The Hanover Insurance Group. Cambridge and Waltham also have insurance and insurtech employers. Most senior actuarial and risk management TN roles are concentrated in Greater Boston.
What types of insurance roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility requires a specialty occupation with a direct link to a qualifying degree. In insurance, roles that consistently qualify include actuary, statistician, financial analyst, accountant, and management consultant positions. Underwriting and risk management roles can qualify when they require a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as mathematics, finance, or economics. General claims adjuster or administrative roles typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find insurance TN sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN-eligible professionals and filters job listings by visa type, so you can search insurance roles in Massachusetts without sifting through positions that don't offer TN sponsorship. The platform aggregates postings from carriers, brokerages, and insurtech firms actively hiring Canadian and Mexican nationals. Filtering by the insurance category and Massachusetts location surfaces the most relevant opportunities directly.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in insurance?
Massachusetts is a heavily regulated insurance market with a state Division of Insurance that sets licensing requirements separate from federal TN eligibility. TN status covers authorization to work in the U.S. but does not substitute for state-level producer or adjuster licensing, which most client-facing roles require. Actuarial and analytics roles are less affected by this distinction. Employers in Massachusetts generally expect candidates to obtain relevant state licensure after arriving on TN status.
