About the Role
You will play an integral role in building our business strategy on our Logistics Operations team under the Dasher & Logistics pillar. Your primary goal will focus on opportunities to improve dasher pay and efficiency by getting into the weeds and really understanding what's happening on the ground, developing and testing hypotheses, and scaling that impact through working with cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, and Analytics. You will report directly into a Manager on the Dasher & Logistics team.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Build analysis to create data-driven decisions to improve the experience for our Users.
- Operate at the lowest level of detail to become an expert of this problem space.
- Learn how to develop strategies and act on them.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive impact for DoorDash.
We're excited about you because…
- You have 4-6 years of experience in consulting, strategy, financial services, operations, technology, startups or related experience.
- You are able to analyze and synthesize data, make informed decisions and balance quantitative measurement with an empathetic, intuition-based mindset. You can crunch data in SQL/Excel independently.
- You love thinking about problems from a first principles approach, and you aren't afraid to take action and try new things in order to create the future.
- You are able to communicate complex topics in a clear, concise, and thorough way to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- You focus on getting stuff done and aren't afraid to get into the details. No job is beneath you and you lead from the front and with optimism.
- You're comfortable with ambiguity and the dynamic nature of operations which may require working weekends and holidays.
- You have a Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's Degree preferred but not required.
We expect this position to be filled by 6/14/2026.

Which companies sponsor visas for business operations managers in Washington DC?
Federal contractors and consulting firms are among the most consistent sponsors in DC, including Booz Allen Hamilton, Deloitte, Accenture, and Leidos. International organizations such as the World Bank Group, IMF, and Inter-American Development Bank also hire operations managers from abroad. Large technology and defense contractors headquartered in the DC metro area, including Northrop Grumman and General Dynamics, have active sponsorship histories for operations roles.
Which visa types are most common for business operations manager roles in Washington DC?
The H-1B is the most common visa for business operations managers in DC, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field, qualifying it as a specialty occupation. L-1A visas are also used when managers transfer from a foreign affiliate or parent company. Some candidates with extraordinary achievements in operations leadership pursue the O-1A. International organization employees may hold G-4 status.
How to find business operations manager visa sponsorship jobs in Washington DC?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters business operations manager roles in Washington DC by visa sponsorship history, so you're not sorting through listings from employers who won't sponsor. Searching by role and location on Migrate Mate surfaces DC-area employers, including federal contractors and consulting firms, that have sponsored operations managers in the past, giving you a more targeted starting point than general job searches.
Which areas in Washington DC have the most business operations manager sponsorship jobs?
Most sponsorship activity for business operations managers is concentrated in the DC metro core, including downtown Washington and the Capitol Hill corridor, where federal agencies, think tanks, and international institutions cluster. The Northern Virginia suburbs, particularly Arlington, McLean, and Tysons Corner, are also major hubs due to the high density of defense contractors and technology firms. Bethesda, Maryland, is notable for healthcare and nonprofit operations roles.
Are there state-specific considerations for business operations manager visa sponsorship in Washington DC?
DC's sponsorship market for operations managers is heavily shaped by federal contracting requirements. Some positions tied to government contracts require security clearances, which can complicate or limit sponsorship for candidates without permanent residency. The DOL prevailing wage determination for business operations managers in the DC metropolitan area reflects the region's high cost of living, so sponsored roles tend to be senior or mid-to-senior level rather than entry-level positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business operations manager jobs in Washington DC?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
