Which companies sponsor visas for C.N.A.s in Washington?
The employers most commonly associated with C.N.A. sponsorship in Washington are large health systems and long-term care operators, including Providence Health and Services, MultiCare Health System, UW Medicine, and Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. Skilled nursing facilities and assisted living chains with multiple Washington locations have also sponsored international healthcare workers, particularly for EB-3 pathways where there is demonstrated labor shortage.
Which visa types are most common for C.N.A. roles in Washington?
The EB-3 immigrant visa is the most common pathway for C.N.A.s in Washington, as the role typically does not meet the specialty occupation threshold required for H-1B visa classification. Employers filing under EB-3 must complete PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor before sponsoring the petition. Some C.N.A.s also enter on TN visa status if they are Canadian or Mexican nationals working in a qualifying nursing capacity.
Which cities in Washington have the most C.N.A. sponsorship jobs?
Seattle has the highest concentration of C.N.A. sponsorship activity in Washington, driven by major hospital systems and a large senior care sector. Tacoma and Spokane also see consistent demand, particularly through MultiCare and Providence facilities. Smaller markets like Bellevue, Renton, and Olympia have active long-term care and rehabilitation centers that periodically hire international candidates with work authorization.
How to find c.n.a. visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find C.N.A. roles in Washington where employers are actively open to sponsoring international workers. Because sponsorship willingness is not always listed in standard job postings, using Migrate Mate to surface verified sponsoring employers in Washington's healthcare sector saves significant time compared to manually researching individual facility hiring policies.
Are there state-specific considerations for C.N.A. visa sponsorship in Washington?
Washington requires C.N.A.s to hold a valid certification through the Washington State Department of Health, and international candidates must ensure their credentials are recognized before beginning work. The state's prevailing wage requirements under Department of Labor PERM filings apply to sponsored positions. Washington's strong union presence in healthcare, particularly in King County facilities, can also affect how sponsoring employers structure employment offers for international hires.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored c.n.a. jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
