Which companies sponsor visas for patient service coordinators in Washington?
UW Medicine, Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, Swedish Health Services, Providence Health and Services, and MultiCare Health System are among the larger Washington employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories in healthcare administrative roles. Federally qualified health centers such as NeighborCare Health and Sea Mar Community Health Centers also hire patient service coordinators and have sponsored foreign workers, though sponsorship practices vary by role and department.
Which visa types are most common for patient service coordinator roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa for patient service coordinators, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as health administration or a related specialty. TN visas may apply for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare management classifications. Some employers also support permanent residency through EB-3 pathways for clinical support staff, though eligibility depends on the specific position and employer sponsorship policies.
Which cities in Washington have the most patient service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and the broader King County metro area account for the largest share of patient service coordinator openings, driven by UW Medicine, Swedish, and numerous multispecialty clinics. Bellevue and Redmond see demand from health systems serving the Eastside tech workforce. Tacoma and Spokane have growing healthcare sectors anchored by MultiCare and Providence, respectively, making them secondary but active markets for sponsored coordinator roles.
How to find patient service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to browse patient service coordinator openings in Washington without sifting through roles that don't support work authorization. You can filter by location to focus on Seattle, Tacoma, or Spokane, and identify health systems and clinics actively seeking candidates who require sponsorship, saving time in what can otherwise be a lengthy job search.
Are there state-specific considerations for patient service coordinators seeking sponsorship in Washington?
Washington's large concentration of academic medical centers and federally qualified health centers means many employers are experienced with immigration sponsorship processes. The state's prevailing wage requirements under Department of Labor rules apply to H-1B petitions, so sponsored positions must meet wage levels benchmarked to the Seattle or Spokane metropolitan areas, which tend to reflect the region's higher cost of living. University of Washington graduates in health administration also create a competitive local candidate pool employers draw from first.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient service coordinator jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
