Which companies sponsor visas for patient service coordinators in New York?
Large academic medical centers and hospital networks are the most consistent sponsors for patient service coordinator roles in New York. NewYork-Presbyterian, Mount Sinai Health System, Northwell Health, NYU Langone Health, and Montefiore Medical Center have documented histories of sponsoring work visas for healthcare administrative staff. Smaller private practices and outpatient clinics sponsor far less frequently, so focusing on major health systems gives international candidates the strongest starting point.
Which visa types are most common for patient service coordinator roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most commonly used visa for patient service coordinator positions in New York when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as healthcare administration or health information management. Some employers also use the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying administrative healthcare roles. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT work authorization often use that status initially while pursuing employer-sponsored H-1B petitions.
Which cities in New York have the most patient service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
New York City accounts for the majority of patient service coordinator sponsorship opportunities in the state, given the concentration of major hospital systems and academic medical centers across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. Buffalo has a secondary cluster driven by Kaleida Health and Catholic Health, while Albany and Rochester have meaningful hiring activity through systems like Albany Medical Center and Rochester Regional Health. Candidates open to the outer boroughs of NYC will find the widest selection.
How to find patient service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa-sponsored roles, including patient service coordinator positions in New York. You can filter directly by state and role to see employers actively hiring and willing to sponsor. This saves significant time compared to manually reviewing job postings that rarely disclose sponsorship status upfront. Focusing your search on large health systems through Migrate Mate gives you the clearest picture of where sponsorship opportunities are concentrated across New York.
Are there any state-specific considerations for patient service coordinators seeking sponsorship in New York?
New York's Department of Labor sets prevailing wage benchmarks that H-1B sponsoring employers must meet for patient service coordinator roles, and these figures are updated periodically based on local labor market surveys. New York City's high cost of living means prevailing wages in the metropolitan area are generally higher than in upstate regions. Additionally, several New York health systems have graduate programs and partnerships with local universities, which can create a pipeline for candidates already in the state on student or OPT status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient service coordinator jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
