Which companies sponsor visas for patient service coordinators in Indiana?
Indiana's largest health systems are the most active sponsors. Indiana University Health, Ascension St. Vincent, Franciscan Health, and Community Health Network have histories of filing H-1B and other work visa petitions for healthcare administration roles. Larger hospital networks with dedicated HR and legal infrastructure are generally better positioned to manage sponsorship than smaller independent clinics or single-location practices.
Which visa types are most common for patient service coordinator roles in Indiana?
H-1B is the most common visa category for patient service coordinators, though it requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, typically supported by a degree in healthcare administration, health information management, or a related field. Some coordinators enter on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT extensions before seeking employer sponsorship. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare administration roles.
Which cities in Indiana have the most patient service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis is the clear center of activity, anchored by the Indiana University Health and Ascension networks and supported by a dense concentration of specialty clinics and outpatient facilities. Fort Wayne is the second-largest market, with Parkview Health as a major regional employer. South Bend, Bloomington, and Lafayette also have notable hospital employment due to Beacon Health, IU Health, and Franciscan affiliates operating in those areas.
How to find patient service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles that include visa sponsorship, making it easier to identify patient service coordinator openings at Indiana employers without sorting through positions that exclude international candidates. Searching within Migrate Mate for Indiana-based patient service coordinator roles surfaces opportunities at health systems actively hiring for these positions, saving significant time compared to unfiltered job searches.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for patient service coordinators in Indiana?
Indiana's healthcare sector leans heavily on large regional health systems rather than academic medical centers, which means sponsorship decisions are often centralized at the system level and vary by network. Indiana University Health is a partial exception, given its academic affiliation, which can support a broader range of visa petitions. Prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules apply statewide and are benchmarked to the Indianapolis or relevant metropolitan statistical area for compensation compliance purposes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient service coordinator jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
