Which companies in Rhode Island sponsor visas for patient service coordinators?
Lifespan Health System, which includes Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital, and Care New England, which operates Women & Infants Hospital, are the largest healthcare employers in the state with established HR infrastructure for H-1B visa and other visa sponsorships. Brown University Health is another active sponsor. Sponsorship availability varies by role, department, and hiring cycle, so confirming directly with each employer's HR team is important.
What visa types are most commonly used for patient service coordinator roles in Rhode Island?
The H-1B is the most common work visa used for patient service coordinator positions when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specialty field such as healthcare administration or public health. Some employers also use the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals with qualifying credentials, and the E-3 visa for Australian citizens. Roles without a specific degree requirement may not qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B standards.
Which cities in Rhode Island have the most patient service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Providence accounts for the majority of patient service coordinator openings in Rhode Island, driven by the concentration of major hospital systems and specialty clinics in the city. Pawtucket and East Providence also have hiring activity, primarily through Lifespan-affiliated facilities. Warwick sees demand tied to outpatient and primary care networks. Given Rhode Island's small geographic footprint, most sponsored positions are within commuting distance of Providence.
How to find patient service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Rhode Island?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search for patient service coordinator roles in Rhode Island without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings at hospital systems like Lifespan and Care New England that have historically sponsored work visas. Narrowing by location to Providence and surrounding cities will give you the most relevant results for this role in the state.
Are there any Rhode Island-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for patient service coordinators?
Rhode Island's Department of Labor sets prevailing wage benchmarks that employers must meet when sponsoring H-1B workers, including patient service coordinators. The state's healthcare sector is relatively consolidated, meaning a smaller number of large employers drive most sponsorship activity compared to larger states. Brown University's affiliation with Rhode Island Hospital also creates pathways where internationally trained graduates enter coordinator roles through academic medical center hiring pipelines, which tend to have more sponsorship experience.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient service coordinator jobs in Rhode Island?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
