Which companies sponsor visas for patient service coordinators in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania's largest health systems are the most consistent sponsors for patient service coordinator roles. UPMC in Pittsburgh, Penn Medicine and Jefferson Health in Philadelphia, Geisinger across central Pennsylvania, and Tower Health in the southeastern region have all filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for healthcare administrative positions. Academic medical centers affiliated with Temple University and Drexel University College of Medicine also appear in DOL disclosure data for similar coordinator roles.
Which visa types are most common for patient service coordinator roles in Pennsylvania?
The H-1B is the most common visa pathway for patient service coordinator roles, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as healthcare administration or a related discipline. Some candidates on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT work in these roles while pursuing sponsorship. TN status applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare administrative classifications. Eligibility depends on the specific job duties and employer.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most patient service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia and Pittsburgh account for the largest share of patient service coordinator sponsorship activity in Pennsylvania, driven by their concentration of major hospital networks and academic medical centers. Harrisburg sees demand from regional health systems and state-affiliated healthcare organizations. Allentown and Scranton have a smaller but growing presence through Lehigh Valley Health Network and Geisinger outpatient facilities respectively, particularly as those systems expand their ambulatory care operations.
How to find patient service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters patient service coordinator roles in Pennsylvania by visa sponsorship history, so you're not sorting through listings that won't support work authorization. Search by role and state on Migrate Mate to surface positions at health systems like UPMC, Penn Medicine, and Geisinger that have documented H-1B sponsorship activity. Filtering by employer sponsorship track record saves significant time compared to applying broadly and discovering late in the process that sponsorship isn't available.
Are there state-specific factors that affect patient service coordinator sponsorship in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania's high density of nonprofit health systems means many employers are already familiar with H-1B sponsorship processes and prevailing wage requirements set by the Department of Labor for the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh metro areas. Candidates should be aware that patient service coordinator roles vary widely in scope: positions requiring clinical coordination or healthcare administration degrees are more likely to meet specialty occupation standards than purely clerical intake roles, which can affect whether an employer will initiate sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient service coordinator jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
