Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for business development leaders?
Fiserv, Johnson Controls, Kohl's, and Northwestern Mutual in the Milwaukee metro have histories of sponsoring work visas for senior business development roles. In Madison, Epic Systems and American Family Insurance are notable sponsors. Manufacturing firms in Green Bay and Racine, including Bemis and SC Johnson, have also filed sponsorships for business development positions requiring specialized technical or international sales expertise.
Which visa types are most common for business development leader roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for business development leader positions in Wisconsin, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, or a related field and meet the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with multinational employer backgrounds may qualify for an L-1A intracompany transferee visa. Those with extraordinary achievement in business development may explore the O-1B category.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most business development leader sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee generates the largest share of business development leader sponsorship opportunities in Wisconsin, driven by its concentration of financial services, manufacturing, and technology firms. Madison is the second most active market, particularly in health technology and software. Green Bay has sponsorship activity tied to packaging and food processing industries, while Waukesha and Brookfield see demand from engineering and professional services companies.
How to find business development leader visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for business development leader roles in Wisconsin that explicitly offer visa sponsorship. Filtering by state and role type surfaces employers currently open to sponsoring candidates, which removes the uncertainty of reaching out to companies without knowing their sponsorship willingness. Migrate Mate consolidates verified sponsorship-friendly postings so candidates can focus outreach on realistic opportunities.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for business development leaders seeking visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin employers sponsoring H-1B holders for business development roles must pay prevailing wages as determined by the Department of Labor for the Milwaukee or Madison metropolitan areas, which differ from national averages. Wisconsin's strong presence in insurance, fintech, and manufacturing means employers often prefer candidates with industry-specific experience. The University of Wisconsin-Madison also feeds talent pipelines that some employers use when considering OPT-to-H-1B sponsorship pathways.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development leader jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
