Which companies sponsor visas for compliance managers in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's largest visa sponsors for compliance manager roles tend to be in financial services and healthcare. Fiserv and Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee have sponsored H-1B workers for compliance and regulatory positions. Advocate Aurora Health, Epic Systems in Verona, and manufacturers like Oshkosh Corporation and Rockwell Automation are also known to have sponsored international professionals in compliance-related roles. Larger organizations with dedicated HR and legal teams are generally better positioned to manage sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for compliance manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for compliance managers in Wisconsin, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as law, finance, accounting, or business administration, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already holding L-1 visas through intracompany transfers may also move into compliance manager positions. Those with prior U.S. work authorization, such as OPT or an existing H-1B, are often preferred by employers who want to avoid the April lottery cycle.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most compliance manager sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is by far the primary market for compliance manager sponsorship in Wisconsin, driven by its concentration of financial institutions, insurance companies, and healthcare systems. Madison is the second-largest market, anchored by Epic Systems, the University of Wisconsin health network, and state government contractors. Green Bay and Appleton have a smaller but active manufacturing and insurance sector that occasionally produces compliance sponsorship opportunities, particularly for candidates with industry-specific regulatory backgrounds.
How to find compliance manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find compliance manager roles in Wisconsin where employers are actively open to visa sponsorship. You can filter by state and role to surface relevant postings without sorting through listings from employers unlikely to sponsor. Beyond job searching, reviewing H-1B LCA disclosure data published by the Department of Labor can help you identify which Wisconsin employers have sponsored compliance roles in recent fiscal years, giving you a targeted list to research further.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for compliance manager visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's compliance hiring is heavily shaped by its financial services and healthcare industries, both of which operate under specialized federal and state regulatory frameworks. Employers in these sectors often require candidates with knowledge of specific regulations such as BSA, HIPAA, or state insurance codes, so aligning your background to a particular industry increases your candidacy strength. The University of Wisconsin system and Marquette University produce domestic compliance talent, meaning international candidates typically benefit from having specialized credentials or several years of relevant industry experience to differentiate themselves.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored compliance manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
