Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for contract administrators?
Wisconsin employers with documented sponsorship activity in contract administration and procurement include Oshkosh Corporation, Komatsu Mining, Advocate Aurora Health, UW Health, and Exact Sciences. Defense subcontractors and large manufacturing firms concentrated around Milwaukee and the Fox Valley region also file sponsorship petitions for contract management roles with some regularity.
Which visa types are most common for contract administrator roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for contract administrators in Wisconsin, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field and meets the specialty occupation standard. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or business categories. L-1B transfers apply when a multinational employer moves a specialist internally.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most contract administrator sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee generates the largest share of contract administrator openings in Wisconsin, driven by its concentration of manufacturing, healthcare systems, and financial services firms. Madison follows, with demand from UW Health, state government contractors, and growing tech employers. Green Bay and Appleton see activity in paper manufacturing, packaging, and defense supply chain companies.
How to find contract administrator visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Wisconsin employers actively hiring contract administrators who require work authorization. Rather than sorting through general job postings, you can focus on roles where sponsorship is confirmed. Searching Migrate Mate by role and state narrows results to contract administrator positions in Wisconsin specifically.
Are there state-specific considerations for contract administrators seeking sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's manufacturing and healthcare sectors drive consistent demand for contract administrators, particularly those with experience in government contracting, supply chain compliance, or capital equipment procurement. Employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the role and location. The Milwaukee metro area generally reflects higher prevailing wage benchmarks than rural Wisconsin counties, which affects where sponsoring employers are concentrated.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored contract administrator jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
