Which companies sponsor visas for food supervisors in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's food manufacturing base includes large employers with established visa sponsorship programs. Kraft Heinz has processing operations in the state, as does Land O'Lakes and Kerry Group, a global food ingredients company with U.S. facilities. Larger food manufacturers and contract food processors are the most likely sponsors, as they have HR infrastructure and legal resources to support H-1B or EB-3 petitions.
Which visa types are most common for food supervisor roles in Wisconsin?
Food supervisor positions in Wisconsin most commonly appear under the H-1B visa when the role requires a bachelor's degree in food science, food technology, or a related field. EB-3 immigrant visas also appear for skilled worker classifications. Some roles in meat and dairy processing have used H-2B visas for temporary positions, though supervisory roles with degree requirements more frequently align with H-1B sponsorship.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most food supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Green Bay and the Fox Valley region have a high concentration of food manufacturing facilities, particularly in dairy and meat processing, making them a primary area for food supervisor openings. Milwaukee and Madison also see consistent postings, given their larger employer bases. Sheboygan and Fond du Lac host dairy and packaged food operations that periodically hire supervisory staff with sponsorship.
How to find food supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status and role type, making it easier to identify food supervisor openings in Wisconsin without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by state and job category to surface relevant listings from food manufacturers, processors, and distribution companies across Green Bay, Milwaukee, and the broader Wisconsin market.
Are there any state-specific considerations for food supervisors seeking sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's dairy and food processing industries are heavily regulated at both state and federal levels, so employers often look for supervisors with direct food safety certification, such as HACCP or SQF credentials, alongside a relevant degree. The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection also enforces state-level food safety standards, meaning candidates with compliance experience in regulated food environments tend to be more competitive for sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored food supervisor jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
