Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for logistics roles?
Uline, headquartered in Pleasant Prairie, is among the most active Wisconsin employers in logistics hiring. Schneider National in Green Bay and C.H. Robinson's regional operations also have histories of sponsoring work visas for supply chain and operations roles. Larger manufacturers with significant logistics functions, including companies in the Fox Valley and Milwaukee metro, also appear in federal LCA disclosure data as sponsors.
Which visa types are most common for logistics professionals in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for logistics roles that require a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations research. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. Roles requiring only general business experience without a specific degree requirement may face challenges meeting the specialty occupation standard.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most logistics visa sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and its southern suburbs, including Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie, represent the highest concentration of logistics employer activity in Wisconsin, driven by distribution centers and freight companies near Interstate 94. Green Bay is a secondary hub with significant transportation and warehousing employers. Madison also sees demand tied to university-affiliated supply chain research and regional distribution operations.
How to find logistics visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to employers with documented visa sponsorship activity, making it easier to identify logistics roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that don't support work authorization. You can search by role type and state to surface relevant openings at distribution, freight, and supply chain employers across Milwaukee, Green Bay, and other Wisconsin markets.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for logistics visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin logistics employers filing H-1B petitions must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the specific occupation and geographic area. Roles in smaller Wisconsin metros may have different prevailing wage levels than Milwaukee. Logistics operations tied to manufacturing, such as those in the Fox Valley paper and packaging industry, can create niche demand for supply chain professionals with sector-specific experience.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored logistics jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
