Logistics Coordinator (with Inventory Oversight)
About the Role: We are looking for a strategic Logistics professional to take the lead on our shipping and supply chain operations. Your primary goal is to optimize our logistics—reducing costs, negotiating with carriers, and improving efficiency under the guidance of our Operations Manager.
This is a hands-on growth role. While your main focus is logistics strategy, you will initially serve as the "check and balance" for our inventory team. You will personally verify stock levels and audit counts to ensure our shipping data is 100% accurate.
Future Outlook: As we grow, we intend for this role to transition into a pure Logistics Management position. We need someone willing to build that foundation now by learning our inventory from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Logistics Strategy & Management (Primary Focus - 70%):
- Cost Savings Initiatives: Analyze current shipping rates, lanes, and carrier performance to identify immediate cost-saving opportunities.
- Carrier Negotiations: Take the lead on negotiating rates and contracts with freight, LTL, and parcel carriers.
- Freight Coordination: Manage the end-to-end flow of goods, ensuring materials arrive on time and finished goods ship via the most cost-effective methods.
- Problem Solving: Act as the primary troubleshooter for shipping delays, damaged claims, and logistical bottlenecks.
2. Inventory Control & Auditing (Secondary Focus - 30%):
- The "Double-Check": Verify the work of the floor inventory staff to ensure system accuracy matches physical stock.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct spot-checks on outgoing shipments to ensure the correct items and quantities are leaving the dock.
- Replenishment: Monitor stock levels and trigger orders for supplies or materials to prevent downtime.
- Process Enforcement: Ensure the floor team is following proper tagging and counting procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (Required).
- Proven Track Record: Must be able to demonstrate past success in reducing shipping costs or improving delivery times.
- Inventory Knowledge: Willingness to perform physical cycle counts and audits as needed.
- Software: Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and Excel (Pivot Tables/VLOOKUP preferred for data analysis).
- Mindset: You are a "Fixer"—you see a broken process and you want to repair it, whether it's a shipping rate or a miscounted bin.
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- 401(k)
- Dental insurance
- Health insurance
- Life insurance
- Paid time off
- Vision insurance
Application Question(s):
- Work with FTL and LTL freight for at least 3 years.
Experience:
- Logistics: 5 years (Required)
- Inventory control: 3 years (Required)
Work Location: In person

Which companies sponsor visas for logistics roles in Arizona?
Amazon, Walmart, and PetSmart are among the larger employers in Arizona with established HR and legal infrastructure for visa sponsorship. Third-party logistics providers operating distribution centers in the Phoenix metro area have also filed H-1B petitions for supply chain analyst and operations roles. Sponsorship tends to concentrate at mid-to-large companies with dedicated immigration compliance teams rather than smaller freight brokerages.
Which visa types are most common for logistics roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for logistics professionals in Arizona, typically covering roles like supply chain analyst, logistics engineer, and demand planning analyst that require a bachelor's degree in a related field. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT work authorization through U.S. universities are also actively recruited by Arizona logistics employers.
Which cities in Arizona have the most logistics sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix accounts for the large majority of logistics sponsorship activity in Arizona, driven by its concentration of distribution centers, e-commerce fulfillment facilities, and corporate supply chain offices. Tempe and Scottsdale also host logistics and procurement roles tied to regional headquarters. Tucson has a smaller but growing presence in transportation and freight, supported by its proximity to cross-border trade routes with Mexico.
How to find logistics visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters logistics jobs in Arizona specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you're not sorting through postings from employers who won't support international candidates. The platform covers roles across supply chain, operations, procurement, and freight management. Searching by Arizona location on Migrate Mate surfaces active openings from companies that have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for logistics professionals.
Are there state-specific factors that affect logistics visa sponsorship in Arizona?
Arizona's position as a cross-border trade corridor with Mexico makes it a meaningful hub for international logistics talent, particularly in freight forwarding and import/export compliance roles. The state's growing e-commerce infrastructure around Phoenix has expanded demand for supply chain analysts and operations managers. Employers sponsoring H-1B workers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements, which are determined by the specific role and geographic area within Arizona.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored logistics jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
