Which companies sponsor visas for logistics roles in Nebraska?
Union Pacific Railroad, Werner Enterprises, and C.H. Robinson are among the most active visa sponsors for logistics and supply chain roles in Nebraska. Large distribution operators and third-party logistics providers in the Omaha metro have filed Labor Condition Applications for roles including supply chain analysts, transportation coordinators, and operations managers. Sponsorship activity is concentrated among employers with established HR infrastructure and recurring international hiring needs.
Which visa types are most common for logistics roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for logistics roles that require a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related field, such as supply chain analyst or operations research analyst positions. The TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying logistics and management categories. The L-1 is occasionally used for intracompany transfers into Nebraska-based distribution or regional operations roles.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most logistics sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the large majority of logistics visa sponsorship activity in Nebraska, driven by its concentration of freight carriers, third-party logistics firms, and distribution centers. Lincoln has a smaller but growing logistics employer base, particularly around e-commerce fulfillment. Grand Island and Kearney see some activity tied to manufacturing and agricultural supply chain operations, though sponsorship opportunities there are more limited than in the Omaha metro.
How to find logistics visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate aggregates visa sponsorship jobs specifically for international candidates, making it straightforward to filter for logistics roles in Nebraska without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by role type, such as supply chain analyst or freight coordinator, and narrow results to Nebraska employers. Migrate Mate focuses on roles where employers have a documented history of sponsoring work visas, which is especially useful in logistics where sponsorship willingness varies widely by company size.
Are there state-specific considerations for logistics visa sponsorship in Nebraska?
Nebraska's logistics industry is heavily tied to rail freight, trucking, and agricultural supply chains, so degree requirements and job duties are scrutinized carefully during H-1B specialty occupation determinations. Roles that blend physical operations management with analytical duties may face additional documentation requirements to establish specialty occupation status. The University of Nebraska system produces supply chain graduates who often pursue OPT, giving some Nebraska employers familiarity with the sponsorship process for this field.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored logistics jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
