Which companies sponsor visas for logistics roles in Indiana?
Large Indiana employers with established visa sponsorship programs include Cummins, Eli Lilly, Rolls-Royce, and Amazon, which operates major fulfillment centers across the state. Third-party logistics providers and manufacturers with significant supply chain operations in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne have also filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for logistics and supply chain analyst positions in recent years.
Which visa types are most common for logistics roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for logistics roles in Indiana, particularly for positions requiring a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations research. Roles like supply chain analyst, logistics engineer, and demand planner typically qualify as specialty occupations. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying logistics roles may also pursue TN status under the USMCA.
Which cities in Indiana have the most logistics sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the largest share of logistics visa sponsorship activity in Indiana, given its position as a major freight and distribution hub with access to several interstate highways. Fort Wayne and Columbus also see activity, driven by manufacturing and automotive supply chain operations. Whitestown and Plainfield, as growing warehousing corridors outside Indianapolis, have attracted large distribution employer facilities in recent years.
How to find logistics visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters logistics jobs in Indiana specifically to employers with a history of visa sponsorship, saving you from applying to companies unlikely to support work authorization. Search for supply chain analyst, logistics coordinator, and operations roles within Indiana on Migrate Mate to see current openings. Focusing on larger manufacturers and third-party logistics firms headquartered in Indianapolis or Fort Wayne improves your chances of finding active sponsors.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for logistics professionals seeking visa sponsorship?
Indiana's strong manufacturing base in automotive, pharmaceutical, and aerospace creates consistent demand for logistics and supply chain professionals with specialized technical backgrounds, which strengthens the specialty occupation case for H-1B petitions. Purdue University's supply chain engineering program also produces a pipeline of international graduates who stay in Indiana, meaning some employers in the state are already familiar with sponsoring F-1 OPT-to-H-1B transitions for logistics roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored logistics jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
