About the Team
DoorDash Drive is our company's hyper-growth platform team serving restaurants, grocers and retailers across the United States, Canada and Australia. The Fulfillment team is responsible for driving the strategy, profitability, and operations across each vertical. In this fast-growing, high-energy environment, you'll drive innovation while maintaining a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
About the Role
At DoorDash, we believe that the reliability and quality of our service is our competitive advantage, and we are looking for a leader who is passionate about digging into the data to root cause operations and delivery problems in order to create a seamless experience for customers and merchants alike. As an Associate, Product Operations Strategy & Operations on the Dasher & Logistics team, you will play a key role in analyzing, tracking, and improving delivery quality, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify trends, support network cost strategies, scope impactful initiatives, and support the execution of quality improvement strategies.
Your work will be both strategic and deeply operational. You can either one day be sizing the impact of key product initiatives to support long-term quality improvements, then leading an experiment to drive real-world improvements. Or the next owning the charge on continuous improvement initiatives related to transportation cost efficiency and network optimization.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Own quality improvement workstreams: that address the most unique and challenging questions within the warehouse network team on how to improve quality.
- Own network transitions: that redesign and redefine the transportation network through carrier, quality, and cost strategies.
- Run experiments and operations tests: assist in structuring and executing operational tests to identify solutions for reducing defects like mis-sorts or delivery delay times.
- Support execution at scale: after proving out a concept, translating the wins into scalable solutions that we can apply across the entire network.
- Drive analytical rigor: by building and owning models that track new product launch success, key quality metrics, weekly and annual costs, and support the development of internal reporting tools to measure and monitor network performance.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships: by regularly partnering with Logistics, LiveOps, Analytics, Engineering, and Product teams to build quarterly roadmaps, scope and assess initiatives that can improve the efficiency, quality, and cost of the logistics system.
We're excited about you because…
- You're strategic and process-oriented: You can break down challenging problems, build hypotheses supported by data, and implement experiments while keeping our teams aligned and informed with your work.
- You're highly analytical: You are fluent in data and modeling (Excel, SQL, Python, Sigma, or network modeling tools) and use it to ground your decisions.
- You thrive in scaling environments: You're comfortable operating with ambiguity and building solutions in uncharted territory.
- You're cross-functional: You've led initiatives that align operations, product, and finance around a shared strategy.
- You have deep logistics experience: 2+ years in transportation, supply chain strategy, consulting, or operations roles, with experience in carrier selection, SLA design, or network optimization.
- You deliver results: You've driven measurable improvements in cost, service, or coverage at scale.

Which companies sponsor visas for logistics roles in New York?
Amazon, UPS, FedEx, XPO Logistics, and DB Schenker are among the employers with a consistent record of H-1B sponsorship for logistics and supply chain roles in New York. Port-adjacent freight forwarders and third-party logistics providers operating out of Newark, Queens, and the Bronx also appear regularly in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for logistics-related positions.
Which visa types are most common for logistics roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa for logistics roles requiring a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations research, or a related field. Roles involving data analysis, systems optimization, or inventory planning tend to qualify as specialty occupations. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in certain logistics-adjacent categories. Some roles may also qualify under the L-1 for intracompany transferees at multinational freight and shipping companies.
Which cities in New York have the most logistics sponsorship jobs?
New York City, particularly the boroughs of Queens and the Bronx, concentrates the most logistics sponsorship activity due to proximity to JFK, LaGuardia, and major interstate freight corridors. Buffalo and Albany see sponsorship activity tied to cross-border freight with Canada and regional distribution. Long Island hosts several third-party logistics and cold chain operations with documented sponsorship histories.
How to find logistics visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify logistics roles in New York where employers are actively open to sponsoring. You can search by role type within New York to find positions in freight, supply chain, and operations. Reviewing Department of Labor LCA disclosure data alongside Migrate Mate listings can help you verify which employers have sponsored in recent years.
Are there any state-specific considerations for logistics sponsorship jobs in New York?
New York's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program are set at the federal level via the Department of Labor, but New York City metro area wages are benchmarked against a high-cost labor market, which means prevailing wage floors for logistics roles here are typically higher than in rural parts of the state. New York also has strong union presence in port and warehouse operations, which can affect how roles are structured and whether they qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B criteria.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored logistics jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
