Search Operations Jobs in WisconsinOperations Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for operations roles in Wisconsin?
Large manufacturers and healthcare systems are the most consistent sponsors. Oshkosh Corporation, Kohler, SC Johnson, Quad, and Exact Sciences have documented histories of H-1B filings for operations-related positions. Epic Systems in Verona also sponsors operations roles tied to its tech and healthcare infrastructure. Sponsorship is more common at enterprise-level employers than at smaller regional manufacturers, where hiring is typically limited to work-authorized candidates.
Which visa types are most common for operations roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for operations roles requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or business operations. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying operations roles may be eligible for TN status under the USMCA. Operations management positions occasionally qualify for L-1A sponsorship when an internal company transfer is involved.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most operations sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and its surrounding metro area generate the highest volume of operations sponsorship opportunities, driven by manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare employers. Madison follows closely, anchored by Epic Systems, state government contractors, and a growing tech sector. The Fox Valley corridor, including Appleton and Oshkosh, is particularly strong for industrial and manufacturing operations roles tied to companies like Oshkosh Corporation and packaging firms.
How to find operations visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters operations roles in Wisconsin by visa sponsorship status, saving significant time compared to general job searches. You can browse positions from employers with verified H-1B and TN sponsorship histories in manufacturing, healthcare, and logistics. Filtering by Wisconsin and operations on Migrate Mate surfaces roles where sponsorship has already been confirmed, which is especially useful given how inconsistently smaller Wisconsin employers advertise sponsorship availability.
Are there state-specific considerations for operations visa sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's manufacturing concentration means many operations roles are tied to union or collective bargaining environments, which can affect how employers structure sponsorship. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements apply to all H-1B filings, and Wisconsin's industrial wage benchmarks for operations roles are determined by location and specific job duties. Candidates with degrees in supply chain, industrial engineering, or operations management from University of Wisconsin campuses in Madison or Milwaukee may find stronger local employer pipelines.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
