Which companies sponsor visas for product associates in Wisconsin?
Milwaukee-based financial and technology firms lead sponsorship activity for product associates in Wisconsin. Northwestern Mutual, Fiserv, and Harley-Davidson have filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for product-related roles in recent years. In Madison, Epic Systems is one of the state's most active sponsors overall. Smaller healthtech and insurtech startups in both cities also sponsor, though less predictably than established enterprises.
Which visa types are most common for product associate roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product associates in Wisconsin, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in a field like business, computer science, or information systems, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT from nearby universities like UW-Madison or Marquette can begin working while an H-1B petition is filed. The L-1B is an option for internal transfers within multinational firms.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most product associate sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and Madison account for the large majority of product associate sponsorship opportunities in Wisconsin. Milwaukee's concentration of financial services and insurance firms, including Fiserv and Northwestern Mutual, creates consistent demand. Madison's tech sector, anchored by Epic Systems and a growing startup community near the UW-Madison campus, is the other primary hub. Green Bay and Waukesha have some activity but at significantly lower volumes.
How to find product associate visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search for product associate roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings at employers with a documented history of H-1B sponsorship in the state, including firms in Milwaukee's fintech corridor and Madison's health IT sector. Setting up role and location alerts helps you respond quickly when new listings appear.
Are there any state-specific considerations for product associates seeking sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin does not have a state-level visa sponsorship program, so federal H-1B rules govern the process entirely. One relevant factor is the strong university pipeline from UW-Madison and Milwaukee School of Engineering, which means many Wisconsin employers are already familiar with OPT and H-1B sponsorship workflows. Product associate roles at larger firms like Epic or Fiserv often fall under established HR processes for international hires, which can make the sponsorship conversation more straightforward than at smaller employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product associate jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
